Shorts might want to close positions before AGM and Update on Trading which is on Thursday.
That leaves tomorrow as the last Trading Day before that info is released.

Depends whether you believe it to be good or bad, but you might not want to leave it to chance if you have made good profits. Interesting.

Yes good news as it shows sentiment changing.
Looks like they bought back about 1m yesterday, and will continue tomorrow., before Update.

Shorts on LSE are still at 3.05%

They will have to make ther mind up soon what they are going to do with the shares on loan.Since £1.92 ,their profits have decreased by 30x28=£8.4m.

Are you saying the final dividend of 17p (7.83%) is not enough?? ( and that is the final div this financial year) It is a payout to die for especially if it is your Isa( no tax)

Sure next year's dividend payout has been reduced but that is to plough more money into improving the business. Prudent management strategy.

Shorters have to buy back 30 million shares on loan.
Would you be buying or selling now? (Odey is short 10 million shares but also has acquired 7.3m. ( according to a previous posting),and one wonders if he is hedgeing his bets?

Very interesting discussion about profit generated at Christmas.

If the volume rises substantially in Dec. then instead of posting a modest profit of £50m., managers should be concentrating on increasing that sum as a major part of their job.

As if they are not doing that?

HL strangely has recently deleted the Rre stake from their Cavendish Aim page.
This must be a clerical mistake as every other broker( including HL until recently) has it as 10% of its portfolio and by its largest constituent.

If OAM has acquired 7.3m then I am very pleased, as his personal wealth is approaching £ 735m and he has amassed a fortune with very astute investment decisions.
I hope RMG is one of his better ones.

Not quite sure if you state OAM have acquired 7.3m shares. They were shorting them before. If that is correct as you say then that is a complete change of tack for them.

you would think that with all these background troubles, RMG would be a safe haven for cash?

Guys, the board on Advfn is dead when it comments about RMG!

The price this morning is encouraging for bulls.
The shorts will have to close at some point and as others have said on this board thieir positions have reduced as the price is so depressed.
People will be looking for income from the 'Woodford Effect' and RMG might benefit .
