Good work Vauch. I have used the ISA allowance for 2017, 2018 & 2019 but sadly never gave it thought during the desperate days in earlier years.

Numpty5 you are absolutely correct I was relying on memory but my first £786 buy was for 20k not 10k as I thought. As I bought more my average only increased to 6.17p in December 2013 before I then commenced a long process of averaging down.

@Ninja you like stories, so here is my Bushveld story.Newcomers take heed of the potential for downside, it is not always a bed of roses. I first bought shares in October 2013, a small investment at just under 7p, by late 2016 I had amassed 9m & was staring a £150k paper loss in the face as the share hit rock bottom at 1.225p.December 2016 was the real watershed as Bushveld showed signs of stirring. Alongside that I had a major disagreement work that”my boss” technically I was self employed, I walked out the week before Christmas facing an uncertain retirement. In January 2017 I believed I could see the upturn & on 2 January bought 1m shares at 2.09p. I continued to add & by March 2017 I had accumulated 11m which is where I am now. It has certainly been interesting & the recent support my wife & I have received here was overwhelming. It has been a rags to riches tale & will no doubt resonate with quite a few on here. Bushy is still significantly undervalued.

In January 2017 I promised my wife I would take out my investment at 12p but fortunately I put on a caveat that if it flew past 12p I would hold fire until it retraced. The rest as they say is history& she is now a Jurgen Klopp convert from doubter to believer. I will have to sell a few here & there because I need to live & it is all I have. As time goes on the required sales are diminishing nicely in number, who would have thought selling 1,000 shares would raise £26k! Of course I am countering these withdrawals by the judicious use of T20’s.

I have just perused all the articles on Bushveld, phew dodged a bullet not investing in BMN, hahaha. BBN, Alfa, NickD, Knuttie et al I quote “WE ARE THE DUMBEST ****S ON AIM”, insanity of TW proven.

So we are almost there, just 3 standing realistically for me with Sanchez599 the hot favourite unless Q2 Is stunning & delivered early this next week which would bring Clarky860 Back in the mix.

FB that is not really a charitable stance. When we set up this competition it was not reality it was a bit of fun, it now is the real deal.Not everyone is in my position, my wife is going to need help from Macmillan nurses & I have a lot of shares so my pledge is increased from tonight to £500 & I will donate the same amount to Macmillan.

@Nelson you are getting confused, Tuesday 6 August is correct, it should be 2019 when we can next expect anything worthwhile if we are lucky.

@beatthebroker & that is what we said to newbies who bought at 23p & saw it plummet to 17p not so very ago.
