CC the whole point of a trust is they cannot get their hands on it. I set the trust up in March & tfr’d the shares at 8.5p so will hopefully turn out well.

I decided against junior isas for my grandkids as the amount you can put in is relatively low & you cannot stop them getting their hands on it at 18. I know what my son was like at 18, bad idea. He is brilliant now with 3 girls he dotes on but from 16 to 23ish he was a bloody nightmare. So I have put 100k shares in trust for each of them & I can still control for now before handing over to their parents. Sure there will be some cgt but hey nothing is perfect.

One & all we are just back from Wythenshawe hospital having seen the consultant. Compared to the one at Macclesfield two weeks ago he was brilliant. The cancer which the wife has christened Cedric appears to be isolated with no spread to her organs etc. She is considered likely to fit into the 1 in 5 category fit to operate upon, just another test first, in which case it is curable but several weeks treatment needed at Christies & then a few more weeks recuperation before the op so we face a long hard road culminating in very major surgery but she will beat it. Thank you all once again she took great comfort from the BB last night.
