TPG is very under the radar for now but it is a key player in the UK's hydrogen picture, It is a member of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association. (#UKHFCA) along with far more prominent players such as BOC, BP, Ceres and ITM.

But it also has a strong offering in AI software a huge growth area of the future as well as a long established and profitable defence division. It's quite a unique company and well worth a look as its a complete minnow just now ...Market cap circa £50m

I see It is an investor conference aimed specifically at US investors who are looking to buy into 'undiscovered' UK (perhaps meaning under the US radar) stocks. It will be interesting to see if this has more uptake since the Wall St Journal china/hydrogen article put a spotlight on Ceres??

I was also very encouraged by the presentation. I have more faith now in the company's long term viability and good to know that it really is not that far off being profitable in its own right. The CEO had a clear vision of future growth and I couldn't help but feel he only let us in on a small part of what he believes is TRX's true potential.

Yes it would seem that TRX have finally got someone on their staff who realises that Investor Relations is not just about the Institutional Investors but also the little guys like us. I was particularly encouraged by the paragraph that said:
''The Company is committed to ensuring that there are appropriate communication structures for all elements of its shareholder base and will provide a live investor presentation relating to the 2020 interim results, via the Investor Meet Company platform, on Thursday 3rd September at 17:00.''
I have already booked my place!

Just a thought....Smith & Nephew (SN.) are only based down the road from Leeds in Hull, they have a huge Wound Management division.

Tinlode. I wondered if with your hydrogen focused investment theme, you hold TPG? I have held it for a while and was already bullish on it... I would consider it a defense company (and a well run one at that), but only recently did i see that they have a what they now call a Hydrogen Green Energy Systems division....which judging by the share price is totally overlooked!!

I think they are catching on the recent rise in investor interest in hydrogen as the CEO Phil Cartmell said in the Jan trading announcement ''I believe 2020 will be an exciting year for the Group, with our strongest ever opening order book, proven capabilities in our core business and with exciting initiatives in areas such as artificial intelligence and clean energy solutions - two key growth opportunities for the Company''

To my mind TPG and CWR would be natural partners with proven expertise in their fields and should be collaborating together.

I agree this company is going great guns and is now a Defence rather than an engineering stock.....and right now we live in a troubled world. Defence budgets are expanding. I'd say the future is bright for TPG.

Last year's trading update was on Tue 15th Jan. It may well be a week later this year.....i.e. tomorrow.

Big article in the Times today. Showing how fuel cell cars will be coming and Shell is beginning to build a hydrogen network at its petrol stations in anticipation of this.

Interesting. I also hold TPGroup but had no idea that they had developed a process to make hydrogen from seawater. Thanks for pointing that out.

Fuel cell cars have a vastly greater range than any electric car. The problem is that there is no hydrogen infrastructure (for refueling). The reason why buses and lorries are converting to fuel cell hydrogen technology in China is that they usually return to a central depot at night and can easily be refueled by an onsite hydrogen tank. The same can (and I think will) happen in the UK. Also taking these vehicles away from diesel to simply discharging water is a huge environmental plus.

If we get the hydrogen infrastructure in place (keep an eye on California) electric cars may just be a stepping stone on an evolutionary road to a fuel cell motoring world.

The next step....say goodbye to your gas boiler. Take yourself off the grid and install your own mini power station in the garage to take care of all your household electricity and heating needs. That world is coming...and Fuel Cell technology is central to it. This is just the beginning.

I agree a great acquisition.

This is a quality stock and a well run company. However I feel that for now it still flies under the radar of many analysts and investors....but now with a market cap comfortably above £1bn and heading to £2bn it should start to get the attention it deserves.

Great start to the week but the next trading statement isn't until 22 Jan which seems a bit too far off to warrant this huge rise.
Any ideas what is behind this ?

I sent an email to investor relations on 29 March but got no reply. I explained that my holding was held via my AJBell account ....I wondered if they only reply to actual named individual private Investors who can be cross-referenced from the share register. But if that is case a response should still be sent explaining that.

However, has anyone else had the same issue, if so flag here and I will try raise higher up the food chain.

That is good news regarding the strong debut of Tokyo store.

The one I was looking out for info on was the NY store which i haven't heard anything on as yet. It surely must be up and running by now if it is not to miss out on Christmas sales. I'm going to go to the AGM this week so will ask about this.

Unfortunately the current price isn't reflective of even the current trading situation and even less when you take into consideration its future prospects. However as a tiny stock with small float it will be vulnerable to private sells- when people lose patience with what seems like an endless wait.. I agree it needs news flow to keep the price supported. On that front the report from Hardman and Co said that within the Dental division (an up and coming area for TRX) the company expects to announce ''a significant US distribution partner'' if this were to happen before the end of the year it would be even better.
