It would be decent for posters to say when they report a post .. I do. It also takes five posters to report a post to have it removed. So sorry a post has been removed on this thread - doesn't happen often thankfully. Whatever your view - we have another good trading opp here :-)
UnKWNTrader, as I have said many times before - you really cannot expect there not to be negative posts when so many people have lost out over the years with this share. It was 8p when I first noticed it and it's been going south ever since. So obviously only those who got in recently - or like I - have traded recently to try to recover losses - have made anything here. GL to those who have taken the risk recently - what's important now is a) will the 30th September meeting still take place? b) IF (and I think it will not succeed) the delisting resolution is passed - will the new AGM take place before 8th October when the shares are due to stop trading and c) is the holder serious about doing something here or trading like the rest of us... so I agree we don't know enough to be certain either way expect to agree - keep trading the share. Btw when did he go over 3% and why was there not a holdings RNS?
As a LTH, adding and reducing on the swings here that we have seen over the last month - I personally now find it hard to value this share .. the downsides are possible delisting, loss making and running out of cash which is now at critical levels .. the upsides are the stakebuilding, possible new tie ups, getting rid of the current Directors and a RTO .. whatever your view, MOS has always been a good trading share.. btw if the 5% holder acquired the shares sub 0.15p then he would not have spent too much getting this stake.. £20k ?
Oh no, day traders appearing en masse. I wouldn't mind but must if you disappear just as quickly as you arrive. 2p? Can't see it. The fundentmentals haven't changed. Company still on the edge and although this is good news we don't know his plans or access to funds etc. Happy to keep trading this but will the delisting vote still go ahead?
This is getting silly now... this is the TCG thread not the Brexit thread - see general chat for that... thousands of employees out of work, 150,000 customers to return to the UK and shareholders losing their funds - that's the only thing that is important today.. (although Doug - I have to bite back - happy to have another ref - once we honour the mandate of the first ref thanks)
Pearls, should the government have bailed out Debenhams or other retailers? Were do you draw the line? It was up to £250 million the company needed from the company ... well next time a company is in trouble the bond holders might just say "forget it, ask the government for the funds and leave us out of it"... why were the shareholders HERE not asked to put in more? If the government had a stake in this company I would agree but it sets a dangerous precedence bailing out a private company ... it would be expected every single time going forward...
Apparently Boom has been out of service for the last week - due to return... he/she could have got in at the low point and made 20% + already... they will never learn :-)
Jarv55, it does make you wonder why so many small (usually AIM) companies end up going into administration - they never or rarely seem to look to do a RTO in view of the listing value. Perhaps it's either a) the running costs - one reason why MOS wants to delist or b) there are actually few companies out there looking to list via a RTO?
Apologies, you are correct - sometimes you do need to read a RNS a few times to get it :-) plus the Euro 238,000 credit .. to be fair, less than Euro 4.4 million will hit the NAV so it works both ways gl
RKB - thank you - also am I right that the trade and receivables figure only has in the accounts €4.44 million for the Sipiem claim and not the post interim accounts event of 100% of the euro 10.8 million claim? So IF (and its a big if) the full amount is received it will make quite a difference to the NAV :-)
RNS results out. A little earlier than usual. First glance, stable NAV and positive outlook for recent investments.
I do agree that the higher share price makes a placing possible .. it depends on whether it will be sufficient enough and for what purpose - there's is simply no point issuing more shares just to pay the CEO wages for another six months imho ... I also agree getting 75% shareholder approval is a tall order so imo someone is stakebuilding either to block it OR to make sure it gets approved. In the meantime - trade away :-)
Hi, it was a general comment not directed at any one individual - the reason I said it was a while back on one of my investments a poster appeared insisting a takeover rumour was legit and a RNS was about to be issued - indeed it caused the share price to spike... I also got attacked by other similar posters on this share who insisted the fair value was about 100x more than the current share price.. in the end I was correct and they.... disappeared... hence why my back is up when someone comes on a thread with "twitter chatter" but I agree I can ignore it. I note you have been very active the last month - when I first moved my pension to a SIPP I was probably as active on here as anyone - however I found out that its impossible to research in full on all your investments if they number 50+ ... I did go mad for a while ... now I try to stick to a dozen or so shares and have reasonable entry and exit targets gl
Well I remember buying some at 11p and I recall the low being 6-7p... no one could have expected the great outperformance of Next over the last thirty years and trading this share has served many people well :-) Surprised at the drop today - considering the poor performance elsewhere - these are great results !!
Timmit, fair enough but as I read it, presuming the 22 Nov case is successful CLP gets back 80% .. the rest may take a little longer.. the proceeds will allow the company to stop with the short term loans, perhaps repay some debt or use it to make more investments - progress and a legacy issue will finally be resolved... it's getting all the ducks in a row and knocking them down one by one :-)
