Wouldn’t be Borrelli and/or BMR if what has been stated doesn’t come to pass.
9/1/19 on BMR Twitter states ‘demerger of the Royalty into a separate company’ I genuinely won’t be the least bit be surprised if he isn’t going through with this and will no doubt dress up whatever it is he does decide as our ‘only’ alternative.
Death by a thousand cuts. Working from the inside against shareholders best interests slowly but surely weakening the investment case for the co. whilst taking his wages and even giving himself an increase for his efforts.
‘He hasn’t taken a wage in months’ is that the worlds smallest violin I hear? Are we somehow meant to be tricked into thinking he is shouldering the same burden as shareholders left in the dark without any knowledge of what else is transpiring, until it’s no doubt, too late. If the royalty goes I can only imagine it will be exchange for another ‘gamble’ for shareholders who have already been completely rinsed. And he plans to step aside having completely wrecked everyone’s investment.
Why should we trust someone with a personal exit strategy with the future of the direction the co. takes? Oh, I forgot AB would always uphold his fiduciary duties as he has throughout the bonfire of the last 4-5 years. Nothing like Alikhani though, apparently.
Borrelli is a qualified Chartered Accountant so I would imagine he is well versed in what he can get away with..... in the interest of shareholders.
Give them a chance. Been flat out 24/7 for what seems like a lifetime. Hard to fathom where they continue get their energy.
‘long lead items’ brings up so many fond memories. Think that’s now 4th time they’ve been ordered for Kabwe since I’ve been invested.
Despite doing at least as bad a job as Theresa May somehow Alex Borrelli has held control of this company for coming up to 5 years.
He is thought to be amongst only a handful of people who have made money in that time, along with his hairdresser.
Appreciate that. I have no idea, I would imagine just as JLP reach maximum capacity of production and hopefully profit Borrelli will sell the Royalty for a hundredth of its value and say he did his best.
Would be better for us if we received the 5% immediately as per RNS to at least service the costs of running the proposed separated company.
Can't get a straight answer on how the Royalty will actually work. In RNS we are meant to be getting 5% straight away, but both Bird and Borrelli wouldn't/don't seem to acknowledge that. For the full 11%-12.5% I believe JLP need to have all their CAPEX returned before we start to get 11-12.5% of profit.
In all seriousness just put us out of our misery. Release the circular and recommence the death by a thousand cuts you have so expertly choreographed. You've taken the pi55 for long enough.
One thing we can all be certain of, is that any decision has undoubtedly been made with the interest of shareholders at its heart.
It’s more abstract than ‘managing your bankroll’ when you consider the level of deception shareholders have experienced.
I’m not going to try and list other stock market scams where people invested don’t know until it’s too late, you and anyone else can look that up. But you think those who invested money in good faith who weren’t aware that BMR has been issued a letter telling them their license was at risk are fools also? All whilst Borrelli was in background striking a shareholder value destroying deal whilst tweeting that progress was good and ‘back on track’.
Any loss hurts. Maybe I’m deceiving myself but the story to me is one of a long con enacting by two remorseless shysters that has only hurt shareholders.
No shareholder should feel bad about perceived ‘foolishness’ on the levels of their investment when truthfully we’ve had our pants pulled down in a darkened room full of sharp objects and overside blunt instruments by a well
paid and incentivised sadist. Not literally of course.
Incredibly polite and measured.
If what I’ve been told about Borrelli and his character (added to what we have all experienced first hand) is true then I doubt anyone would sympathise with his supposed ‘harassment’.
By post initially. I would imagine once sent in post they would then update the website.
On one hand JLP are saying Kabwe will be one of their most important projects (if not most) that will be making millions of pounds per annum. On the other hand Borrelli is still remaining tight lipped with BMR shareholders left in the dark not knowing whether or not we should be getting excited about the potential returns on the royalty and/or whether or not we will get to hold onto it in the long term, which in my view is the only way most of us could make anything back. Or will he sell it Leaving us all short? Love to know what value he puts on the Royalty. We'd need around £6.6m to get 2p a share based on the 335m shares in issue prior to the delisting.
The idea of another venture starting with in excess of a +50% dilution isn't getting me excited and it's evidently not being done in the interest of existing shareholders. Could be pleasantly surprised but won't hold my breath.
Good luck.
Hopefully JLP get the plant up and running ASAP and the royalty becomes rewarding for everyone. Looking at the numbers produced by JLP and doing some fag packet calculations I think we should hold the royalty for as long as possible, the only chance we have to maybe relinquish something from this sordid affair.
I see they helped with arranging the funding.
You've gotta laugh. They helped accelerate our demise conveniently. Fjuck me we've been absolutely smashed.
"The Minister also waived previous conditions placed on the Kabwe mining licences. "
Not sure why JLP are getting leniency from Zambian Cadastre/Gov. other than they maybe have proven to be a lot more trustworthy possibly with plans and finances that have meant they are taken seriously. My fear was we (BMR) would lose the licence by not keeping to the attached conditions (and still definitely wouldn't 100% rule it out).
As far as I am aware if the project were sold or JLP were bought out we would retain our royalty % but the new owners may not be happy with that and would look to pay us off. Supposedly our Royalty % is considered large within the industry. Still seems absolute pish to shareholders who were lead to believe we were going places 2 years ago.
Personally I'm more bothered about the past than what happens here on in. But not sure what can be done legally. This is where averages come into the fold and that can change perspectives, we've had the pi55 ripped out of us, first by Alikhani and now by a very smooth operator in Borrelli who has helped facilitate the removal of our one asset that pretty much, I expect, is the reason the majority of shareholders ever invested for. It's a been a sick joke and Borrelli and Bird are laughing all the way to the bank. Invested for Kabwe, now no longer going to own a single % of it but might get a bit of money if we're lucky.
The Royalty is going to take years to materialise a meaningful return year on year and Borrelli doesn't see it as a long term thing and would certainly entertain selling it if the price is right, so shareholders are unlikely to get their full share of the Royalty. As for the new venture I expect confetti levels of dilution where your only hope will be topping up and up and up believing the team that bought you what it has in the last few years can be trusted to run a new venture.
I'm sure of one thing, Borrelli doesn't give a fjuck about shareholders. Especially any that invested under Alikhani. Not only does he have disdain for anyone who complains about his performance he actually believes he has done a great job. His work is almost done.
RE: litigation - I don't believe individual names will ever be announced, some we will be able to deduce but we will just see the numbers within the accounts.
Hard to get away from the feeling that maybe a lot of what has happened these last few years has been contrived in order to basically give away a £2billion asset.
