Just checked Gooner. Leak was on 19th November and yes, it did say GSA negotiations to be completed by 23rd February 2023.

Like you, I’ve taken every step over the past ten years or so. For me, proving Anchois reserves above what was expected is a move forward. Having a plan to take it to production is a move forward. Being in bed with ONHYM is a move forward, albeit one that is probably slowing us down. Repositioning the company into a transitional energy company with an Africa focus is a move forward. None of that is wildcat and expensive speculation as of old. By all means let’s agree to disagree but some things are fact and others are emotion.

Remember the leaked French document from the tail end of last year ? That correctly told about the outline GSA RNS we had in mid December and leaked the news that contract GSAs will be late February. If that’s also correct, we will hear in the next three weeks or so - not ramping, just expectation. Most of those who know this business reckon that the timescale set for H1 FID is reasonable. Tough to swallow as we wait week after week, year after year, but the outlook in my opinion has never looked better for CHAR. Bet Repsol wished they’d never walked away from Anchois, now we have proved the reserves. But that was in a different era for energy security. I understand the views of the downbeat brigade cos you’re the ones who will either get the pleasant surprise or say ‘I told you so.’ Win/win.

SF, read the RNS dated 12th December. Is that fiction ? If not it seems highly likely that Morocco will be a significant customer for the gas in Anchois. That’s before export levels and prices are agreed.

SF, I think your crystal ball is on the blink. Are you living in a vacuum ? Update for you if you are. Western Europe is looking to secure local secure gas supply for years to come as a result of the war in Eastern Europe. And you think fleets of ships carrying LNG will fill the void ? I can see that a contrary view is always worthwhile, but only if supported by sound reasoning, facts and logic. You miss out on all three

I’ve been in this share for over 10 years. During that time we’ve all seen our fair share of charlatans and time wasters. Right now this board is riddled with opinionated people, which is why I read but rarely post.

Every now and then, I feel compelled to respond - as I do now. The hypocrisy and duplicity that SpeedFerret shows in criticising Jimmy is unbelievable ! Look in the mirror chap and you’ll see someone who thinks THEY are the most important. Few posters add value but, in my experience, Jimmy is one who is worth his weight in gold. Ferret - you say ‘ramp’. Well, that’s your small minded subjective opinion if you choose to take it that way. I suspect most will take in what Jimmy says and consider its value to themselves. I really don’t think he sets out to misrepresent facts, merely bring his knowledge and expertise to the fore so that we all can read it.

Ferret, the likes of you and other self congratulating windbags are the ones who suck the oxygen out of this board - and life in general, most likely.

Firegazer - I think you raised your sights on the wrong target this evening. The least said, the better.

ianfer: all of the directors and the chairman are part of a highly lucrative performance related share incentivisation scheme that was outlined in a report last autumn. What’s not transparent are the terms of the performance related awards. From memory, and I may be wrong, JMW and DW each will receive in excess of 3 million shares at the next AGM, the chairman a few less and AP a few more. Anyone who can add more detail, please do so. In essence, the guys in question do not need to purchase the shares, they are being handsomely rewarded for their work.

Rabito79 - I was at the AGM and this is what was said.
Farm out - negotiations are ongoing. Informally I was told the partner is not an issue, the details are being worked through.
Financing - Morocco has eight banks. Four want to lend us all the money and the other four want a stake in any arrangement.
The cost to materialise Anchois, circa $300 million, will be 70% debt and 30% equity to a partner, who must bring something we lack or need more of as part of the agreement.
The complexity of coordinating such a huge and far reaching deal cannot be underestimated. The markets and sentiment made be going through tough times, but my confidence is undented and I’ve bought more at these bargain prices.
Of course there are risks and it’s right to keep those in view, but don’t let them become blinkers if the positives are stronger.

It’s a strange situation where those with a stake in the company want to knock the message and the messengers. Simple option we all have is stick or fold. That’s it from me so good luck to all.

It won’t be of any comfort to the cynics, but the whole event was dynamic and positive. All of the questions regarding GSAs, debt funding, partnering etc were answered with confidence and a hint at what’s coming without giving anything away. A definite change of emphasis from the October ‘21 investor event. I’m sticking !!!

I’m not sure I’d be putting much of my cash in either, if I was them. They’re already highly incentivised regarding share awards for past and future performance. It’s all in the annual report but from memory, I think JMW and DW both have over 5 million via that route.

Thanks for sharing Schlemiel, great stuff indeed. Good to hear Jimmy and SHCs take on this, significantly increases my confidence in the forthcoming CPR. It seems the release of that document will sound the starting pistol for all of the other Anchois timeline elements to fall into place. Can’t wait !!!

Great fing Jimmy, thanks for sharing. Another dot joined and we must now be close to the consortium update on Project Nour. Our Mauritania acreage becomes more valuable by the day and Soc Gen seem to fit fit nicely into what will be announced very soon - I hope.

All being well, the cpr will result in a very favourable financing arrangement.

If AP sells this company for £1 per share, I’ll show my derrière in a Top Shop window !!!
