Rathlin do not want to mess about afterall the dramas last time, if you go and research you will see that is whu as soon as they received council approval they commenced work in the area rather than waiting until Q1 to commence. People not expecting it until later will get caught out, also the closer to spud time the more protestors become established and increase in size. They (the protestors) are even worth following and could explain better than many here how long set up of a drill takes as they are onsite most protesting across the UK.

Rathlin are not waiting around for another Rig, spud RNS will drop within days and catch many out as they are unaware just how advanced West Newton has progressed

With experience from the days of Encore Oil (EO) and the Catcher discovery Central North Sea (15% net to EO) I thought I would add some potential colour to the future here in the event of a discovery. Firstly expect huge interest due to the Wick well location, cost of future recovery here is very low due to the locality of near by pipelines for Lybster and Beatrice. Encore Oil is the perfect example, 15p pre discovery then onwards north to 140p+. However at the time the oil prices were soaring near their record peak $140+ per barrel prior to the sudden steep retracement within as many months. Encore Oil was bought out within months by Premier Oil (PMO) for 70p per share so PMO could increase it's interest from 35% to 50%. This example could also easily be applied to Colter with it's location nearby Wytch farm. Point to note is that Catcher did not have similar nearby infrastrure in place such as the pipelines of Beatrice and Lybster or Wytch farm.
