Hendersons had a holding of 6,111,415 shares
It's possible they sold it all on the 15 March
It's also possible there may be others which we will know tomorrow & the day after.
Unfortunately we do not know how much is Henderson's holdings now.
As far as I know holdings below 3% are not madatorily reportable
But What is clear is that
1. There are huge institutional off loading of shares
2. There are huge institutional buys of shares as well
3. There also seems to be a big interest by PIs both buying and selling
4. All these huge selling is being absorbed by huge buying by IIs, Directors and PIs
5. Because of these large sells being absorbed by large buys the SP is stuck in a narrow band.
6. Though the MMs today tried to drop the sp by 20% on very low volume, it had to revert rather quickly.
7. The 3 late reported trades are all BUYS for a total of 3,683,498 shares and is 3.18% of the issued capital of ALPH
My interpretation is Hendersons, and may be a couple more IIs are off loading / already offloaded their holdings.
My suspicion is that the MMs on 15 March knew that this is Hendersons / an II and so the big 40% drop.
My suspicion is ARC & their friends are defending these huge price drops and are closely watching the trades ready to intervene, and are not going to be caught offguard like on the 15 March
My suspicion is also is there are other IIs who are loading up these shares, that's why the trading in a tight channel
Which raises a big question "If this share is worthless as some are posting why would any Institutional Investor buy any shares at all?"
Are they idiots?
Do they have a death wish
Are they dying to loose money?
Since the logical answer is NO to all these questions, they are sensing a share at bargain basement price which would trade in multiple X in the near term
