This is quite long, but please read...
Interesting slant Shaa, however, when I originally invested, I thought it had something going for it. (Which is why I invested. Only a small amount) However, as I looked more and more into the technology and what MTV were trying to offer, I started realizing, they did not actually have anything. The tech they claim to have has been out for years in other disguises. They were not the first to put TV on a mobile phone. Tivizen did it long before. They were not the first with a mobile PVR either... The truth is, everything they claimed they could do is available via a set top box. The UK market works differently to the US. To put it simply, every house nearly has a roof top aerial in the UK, they do not in the US. However, there is nothing stopping a householder in the US going out to buy an aerial. Then they can also buy a set top box that will deliver Terrestrial TV along with OTT and Internet TV. Just like a Freeview box in the UK or Youview or Freeview Play. (Albeit under different names in the US) The tech is out there. This is why MTV failed. They did not really have a product with anything new. There VoD on ships and aeroplanes, again, the tech is already out there and being used. It has been for a long time. So what did MTV have? A fantastic business model for raising cash. and that is it. Along with Airwavz now, it is a simple business model to raise cash. In this case not via any stock exchange, but by going cap in hand to the world via go fund me. They say they have the quarterback. Apparently there is a prototype... However, if you look carefully at the photos, I would question, how does it work? Does it work? Where is the battery? How does it connect to the Phone charging slot? (This is the bit that got me, it looks like it would be very tricky to get the phone in the case without damaging the charging slot. They want best part of £200 for one... You can but mobile phone tuners on the internet for £20-40 whats the USP? Sadly, I am going to say it, the only people this will appeal to is, idiots that have not done or got any tech experience. Probably the same people that bought TabletTV, only to use it for a day or two then put it in the draw and forget about it. At the end of the day, MotiveTV with TabletTV and Airwavz with the Quarterback are only a cash generating hobby. They are nothing else and will not take over the world with old technology. I remember when I first started asking questions about TabletTV, I was quickly shot down as my questions may have put a negative slant on the product. But I think I asked enough to realize that investors on this board were sold a dream, but had no idea what that dream was. Its nice to pop in here and chat, but lets keep it chat, Southsea, can you chat? not actually keep repeating the same song... Good luck all in your future investments. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
