Well a good start might be getting the PR lady to reply to questions? And then giving shareholders some kind of update on where they are and what timetables look like.they seem to me to 'hide' behind the 'market sensitivity' issue for me-when it suits them("WE KNOW IT WORKS') quite happy to drop hints-but there approach in recent times smacks of contempt for shareholders to me.Everywhere I have worked what has happened here would have lead to heads rolling at least somewhere-but not here.I am not a big investor and my losses are minimal-having bought low and sold a third of my holding at peak(ish). But I know many others are not as fortunate.I know we all know the risks before we invest and so be it-but I really am irritated by the failures here ,the lack of any real communication ,lost opportunities to help people and the seeming endless 'jam tomorrow' hints from the Board.Any before anyone says it Yes I agree time to go-whatever happens in the future I just cant put up with this lot anymore -so I think I will!Ill put the proceeds on Man City to win the Champiuos League!Hey Ho and GLA
No they don’t- they erase 19 per cent of it! 100k loss to set off against 100k profit saves 19K in CT on that profit - the other 81 k is still a loss! Tax relied on losses only softens the blow( and only then if u have a profit elsewhere to set it against)- the biggest proportion of the hit still remains
I make no complaint about 'lost money' here-that's the risk we all take.Although of course I sympathise with those who have been badly burnt -it is fair to say they were encouraged to invest more than a little. What I do think is poor-over week after the collapse-is the lack of any message from the Company leadership. That's very poor-they weren't slow at encouraging messages previously ("We know it works' etc etc) where Stock exchange rules didn't seem to inhibit them so I don't see why some clarification on what exactly went wrong and what they intend to do about it could not be delivered .If indeed there is anything to be done.Like somebody said on this forum-most of us (to a small or large degree) own the Company and something should have been said by now!
Yep-Very interesting guy and people he knew (Deep recall-somewhere in Hammersmith I think?) -think in retrospect it might have been a squat rather than a flat! But he had a lot of great stories!!
Best 70s gigs-Agree Free were fantastic .For me..............this is a mixof my best gigs .Joe ****er at Belle Vue Manchester(off his head) Ray Davies and the Kinks (my fav band) Free tree hall-and little Stevie Wonder ,Four Tops and Martha Reeves all for 7/6d(15p) at the Manchester Palace in '70-Sorry no more nostalgia and I shall now revert to share talk and leave this to a 'pop' channel.
No Probs-wasn't trying to be smart-just remember the date well because I shared a flat in London in the mid 70s with a guy who once shared a flat with him (when he was on his uppers).all my mates in Manchester went to IoW in '69 to see Dylan but my mum wouldn't let me go(I was 14).Been a wimp ever since-For example very clear to me at the time that I should have bought more SNG last week .....but did I ?Think u know the answer
