RR,
I am disappointed to read your latest comment:
We don't know all the facts so we don't know if earlier development in Nigerwould have been possible. I would suggest that it is not appropriate to compare to the Chinese who were previously established producers and who had also committed to the enormous investment in the pipeline thus overcoming the land locked problem.
AK has made reference to farming out Niger, which in view of the size of the opportunity the level of investment required and the quality of the acreage makes sense. It has been reported that the Chinese were interested in the adjoining licence but were rebuffed. We know that farmouts have been few and far between in recent times and always seem to take a long time. We also know from the Accugas negotiations that AK is no 'push -over' in such matters. An attractive farmout would transform the company and could happen at any time.
Most holders, including you, have expressed high hopes of the outcome of the court cases, albeit perhaps a year away.
Again most commentators regard the proposed acquistion of the Stubb Creek minority interest with approval.
As said previously we cannot properly assess the SS position until we see the final outcome and not much point in speculating at this stage.
Clearly there is progress with renewables and AK has publicly said that he expects IRRs of 40% - he is a 'numbers man so presumably a reliable guide and I imagine most will be well satisfied with such an outcome. Zen made a comment some time ago about the potential of this business.
Most people seem to expect further positive additions to add to the substantial business already in hand.
If you are a long term investor, as you have been so far, is there anything to be gained in offering your shares at what I would regard as a 'knock - down' price, especially as they are suspended. It cannot help after market sentiment. Are you sure that you are not in danger of throwing out the baby withe bathwater?
Best wishes, kinkell.
