Yes,I would agree Harts. Would be interesting to hear COOPGARE’s opinion on this, wonder if he is still around on here??
Very good listen from GJ, he speaks a very good game and it does appear everything is under control with Dempsey and they know exactly that they are doing, just a shame he can’t communicate like he does in conversation in an RNS! Chances of natural commercial flow from Dempsey is slim IMO, but if they can go mingle the zones whilst moving up the well bore when stimulating (as has been suggested) then a frac of the multiple zones should get this gushing, again imo. Let’s hope for a no frac job here but either way we are heading in the right direction now with Dempsey. China news due this mint too and that’s the biggy! Onwards Andy upwards! GLA
How I read this is if the above zones are commercial flowing then they probably will not revisit the lower. Perhaps it wasn't thought possible at first that they could return to the lower hence focussing on it, but with the long drawn out process and with expert analysis, planning and drawing up the permit it was found that actually they can access the lower zones whilst proceeding to the upper so in fact the wait has been worth it after all as they have discovered a hell of a lot more about this well than if they were to move up without it flowing to pipeline first. IMO if the higher zones don't flow commercially they will then submit the already planned frac permit (as per RNS) for all zones and link in lower. The RNS'S from GJ have been quite poor let's be honest but reading between the lines they are onto something here, only question the remains now is will this well flow commercially without a FRAC??? With stimulation it appears this will gush but obvs that costs money, so fingers crossed but looks good to flow! GLA
Be lucky if we see a decet rise on that, SGC went down, albeit very slightly! I don’t think we will see a rise until we see results from zone above being tested!
and includes production and pressure data collected from the well since 17 January. Lodging of the application is part of the final process to achieve approval to stimulate. Empyrean CEO Tom Kelly commented, "We look forward to testing operations re-commencing at Dempsey following an extensive technical review process. We have worked closely with Sacgasco, the operator of the well, to review the existing data, results and views of independent consultants. We are delighted to have reached consensus on forward operations that allow imminent testing of further prospective zones whilst maintaining the flexibility to revisit any zone at a later date to produce, re-evaluate or stimulate if required. Shareholders should note that Empyrean believes that testing these zones higher up in the well before any plan to fracture stimulate a deeper zone (or any zone for that matter) may provide a better chance of commercial gas flows and is a more logical next step now that we are able to stimulate at a later date if needed. "Shareholders should also note that the draft application to stimulate has benefitted from extensive consultation with experts and authorities since our last update and also from the production and pressure data collected over that time. This work and consultation process is expected to result in a much smoother approval process given that the data and consultation were required in any case. Put simply, Empyrean supports the efforts being made by Sacgasco on the forward testing program and the stimulation application and reiterates that stimulation approval would not have been hastened by lodging the application earlier without the collected data and consultation process. We are excited and wish Sacgasco and the JV partners well for a safe and rewarding testing program."
Bit more meat on the bone in EME RNS ole and beginning with two gas reservoir intervals (Zone 3) covering over 400 gross feet (120+ metres) · Plan has been carefully designed to test more zones before reaching overlying field production zones · Focus on testing zones with the potential to flow without stimulation first, whilst maintaining the optionality to revisit any zone and stimulate, if required, later Empyrean Energy (EME: AIM), the oil and gas development company with interests in China, Indonesia and the United States, is pleased to announce that it has been informed by Sacgasco Limited (ASX: SGC) ("Sacgasco"), the operator of the Dempsey 1-15 well in the Sacramento Basin, onshore California, that production testing of the Dempsey 1-15 well will re-commence this month following review of all existing results and data collected to date. The review has involved in-house technical capability, independent consultants, technical collaboration with partners and leading US well completion and stimulation experts. The new program has been designed to allow earlier than previously planned testing of shallower zones that exhibit extensive gas shows and higher porosity and therefore are perceived to have a greater chance of flowing without stimulation, while preserving the opportunity for more testing and possibly reservoir stimulation of all zones in the well, including the previously tested deeper interval (Zone 2). Empyrean had previously announced on 17 January 2018 that production had commenced from Zone 2 and that stimulation was expected during Q1. The production and pressure data collected since 17 January in conjunction with the technical review has enabled the joint venture to formulate a more flexible forward operation plan. Sacgasco will shortly commence operations to access two shallower potentially gas-filled reservoir sands (Zone 3) covering a gross interval of gas shows over 400 feet (120+ metres) at the same time as allowing access to the currently producing interval (Zone 2). Technical analysis completed by Sacgasco indicates that Zone 3 potentially contains reservoir sands with significantly better porosity than exhibited by the tested Zone 2. Zone 3 sands also have a strong seismic signature, with positive seismic attributes interpreted to reflect better reservoir continuity and extent. Other, as yet, untested zones of potentially gas saturated reservoirs, separate from the overlying field-level reservoirs, exist above Zone 3 and may also be tested. Sales of natural gas being produced from Dempsey 1-15 will continue until Zone 3 testing work begins this month. Sacgasco confirms that a draft application to stimulate zones in the Dempsey well, should that be necessary in future, is near completion. The application is structured to accommodate future flexibility. Consultation with Government authorities and consultants on aspects of the stimulation process has occurred, and i
Seems they can return to the lowest zone to frac if required, I was under the understanding that if they decided to move up the well they could not then return to frac the lower, seems from what I’m reading this is not the case they can move up the well to the gas show zones above and return to the lower to stimulate of need be, with a permit in place ready to go for the whole well if need be, it’s not bad news at all, these things take time!
Rathole talking shi*te again! Dempsey is flowing from the lowest zone, upper zones gas saturated this is all fact, upper may not even require frac! We are due news on China this month and we can’t release news on on Cali until SGC do first, this is annoying yes but what’s changed with the fundamentals here, nothing, nothing has changed, yes not ideal having no news but if the company have what we believe they have it’s irrelevant what the current SP is as investors will want what is in the ground. everything is still in place that could make this company BIG, they only way to lose money on this share is becoming impatient, how could you possibly warrant selling with news on all ventures imminent, if the news isnt good or not what we wanted to hear I could then understand but until that time, nothing’s changed
Indeed Cas5, and we have waited patiently!! GL
Its just being traded around the 11-13.80 range until we get news, nothings changed we are awaiting updates due any day on China and Cali, also Indo but that may not be imminent. Watch the bounce when news drops, The patient win in this share GLA..
Lost it’s shine, it’s lost no shine at all just impatient traders looking to make a quick buck elsewhere, so if you bounce this at a loss when we are due news imminently and with the assets we have in place you are a silly man, but each to their own, good luck
Happy birthday Bomber, EME will bring you a late birthday gift, you have chosen wisely! Welcome!
We have all been there bomber! Ha! I thought I might have converted you, sadly not! : - ) GL..
Didnt think you was interested bomber?
are short of stock, hang on to you're tickets, drive it up! GLA
Indeed Hallmark, I am a REL bag holder also so keeping a close eye on that, could be a lovely couple of weeks. Fingers crossed
Nice little SP rise last few days, happy with a few % daily to keep us under the radar but stand us in a better position before the news lands, which will be very soon IMO, next week if I was a betting man! I know Dempsey has taken a lot of stick for the small rates, timescales etc. but I am more than confident once stimulated this will prove it's worth in waiting gold, and Dempsey is just an added bonus for us! Sit tight all, news awaits! GL
Oh what a lovely surprise, evening zibster.
Oh Bomber lighten up will you, it’s not my fault nor EME shareholders that you’re up the creek without a paddle. Our door is always open for likes of you Bomber remember that, take care!
Welcome Bomber. Glad to see you are taking a interest in a share that will make you some money rather than throwing you hard earned money onto the hapless UD-2 bonfire over on FRR, easy 10 bagger DYOR and I’m sure you would agree, glad to have you on board sir.
