What just happened??
Put me down for 950 please!
After having been on the sidelines for a month, i dipped my toe into this one. Looking as one of the best placed oilers out there.
Can i guess a closing price too? 875p IMO
It would be great if SA and Russia reach a deal in the next few days but the real issue is covid 19. Until that is sorted we wont see a meaningful rise in the price of oil. I’m on the sidelines waiting to buy with my finger on the button and i dont think we will see a sustained rise just yet. I think end of april will be the time to load up with shares. AIMO of course...
I think it’s fair to say we’ll probably lose all of our money in here....
Good point @paludina. This cant last longer than a few months. That’s why i still think the upside from here will be enormous.
I think that rather than CV, we are paying the price for the collapse of the oil markets. Cheap oil make vrfb less attractive and if the world is on the brink of a global recession, governments might go for cheaper rather than more effective or sustainable. Just my uninformed opinion of course....
Worst time ever for a drop for me! I will have to sell approx 20000 shares in a couple of weeks to pay for roof repairs and i will feel really bad if i have to do it at a 2 years low.... come on FM! Gives us something to go back to last week levels at least!
I am still expecting an update before the end of today. If it comes, who knows, it might turn around this afternoon.
Pointless rns. I agree azer is probably lost and AC should resign asap. Congo is a big opportunity but i dont believe he’s the man to take it forward. All IMO of course.
I was thinking to put a little money into ncyt, just to see if i get lucky. Than i read the board. Some truly disgusting messages in there. My point being, 95% of my portfolio is in bmn and i hope it makes us all rich, but i hope Fortune can achieve that in an ethical way and not on the back of other people misfortunes. GLA
I dont think getting rid of lemur would be such a great idea. Madagascar needs electricity. Badly. And right now it seems that coal is the only option. I would rather see BMN manage that rather than some dodgy chinese or european company. Although i agree bmn have their hands in a lot of pies right now.
Like all of you, i’m well under. No point in selling, my average is over 6p although my holding is frankly quite small. I’m worried about the next update though. I predict plenty of bad news coming from Azer (otherwise, why the silence?) and sp going <1p. Anyone shares the same feeling?
Just now i had the chance to read the latest rns.... looks pretty solid to me. Well done FM and team. Shame the share price does not reflect all of your achievements....
I can only assume that the only reason there is no azer update is because there are no good news. Maybe not bad either, but i dont think the market would react positively to being told that after all these years they Are giving up, or buying yet an other rig and so on. AC is heavily under in here (as is everybody else) and is waiting for something good to boost the price a bit rather than seeing sink to 1p. All IMO of course
Over 90% into BMN. The rest divided between afritin and a couple of hopeless shares.
I said on friday i was hoping to top up under 19p, and today i bagged 26400 at 18.749. I know it’s silly, but i kind of feel proud of myself!
This is now unbelievably cheap. I have funds ready and the finger on the buy button.... but i believe that either today or monday i can top up at under 19. Anything under 20p is a mega bargain anyway.
It looks like a good deal long term to me.... obvs we have to issue a further 8M shares and that’s why the drop this morning i guess.
IMO, this is China flooding the market with the V they have stockpiled in previous years. They have an interest in keeping the price down for some reason at the moment. Add to that, a perceived global economic slowdown where commodities are starting to suffer. One thing’s for sure: it cannot last forever.
