I wouldn't mind if they did to be honest. A bird in the hand.
Barwickman, I don't think the point of virtual sports is to take over from live sports betting at all. It is complementary to live sports betting but basically a fixed odds form of betting like slot machines. Do think that IMG Arena as rights holders in partnership with LEAP are on the money with their officially branded and sponsored games. Opportunities seem endless.
LEAP's official tennis and golf games should have been released by now or did I miss something?
Bodes well for potential Portage uplisting and Juvenescence IPO later in the year:

To what extent will Paul Snow remain involved with Factom Inc (or what's left of it) and how essential is he in recouping some of our investment? His technical expertise seems pretty invaluable in order to get any value out of the IP. Or he will just start a new company on the Factom protocol and start afresh? I can't imagine him and FFWD having a good professional relationship after this.
On the 7th of April?
The SAFE agreement gives us a fighting chance to recover some of our investment. If the $6 million SAFE had been converted to shares at an earlier date those shares would be worth next to nothing now. Series A investors of $8 million now own less than 10% of the company. The SAFE agreement is getting blamed for Factom not being able to raise further funds, but the real reason Factom couldn't raise is because their business model and pipeline wasn't attractive enough. Hopefully some value can be spun out of their assets/IP to mitigate our loss.
You won't be able to gamble on the UFC fight this weekend via Leap Gaming as they're not a betting platform, they're a virtual sports game developer.
However, I think the possibility for a Leap developed UFC virtual sports game is real, and has great potential. Getting access to full UFC rights shouldn't be an issue with Endevour owning both the UFC and IMG. Leap's current virtual sports portfolio is great but only seem to contain generic teams/athletes. With most of the big fights being hosted in Vegas there could be a huge opportunity for roll out and fan engagement. UFC seems the perfect match for virtual sports betting, just think of all the fantasy match ups between fighters past and present!

Agree with your assessment of Factom. Would be quite happy too if FFWD exited sooner rather than later.
I suppose Ed prefers to put his spare cash in EMMAC rather than FFWD at this stage. Can't really blame him as he's already more than doubled his investment there and is in for a huge pay day when they list.

"The deal underscores the Paris-based drugmaker’s efforts to build its portfolio of innovative therapies in the fast-growing and lucrative cancer field"
Agreed. Rich is the best contributor here as far as I'm concerned.
All's well that ends well. No need to panic.
Relentless buying following that master investor show! Perhaps it's time to end the over- confident predictions and dictating what this board should and shouldn't be discussing? Seems to have the adverse effect.
That would without doubt be a huge shot in the arm for the SP.
Things are definitely much more positive for Factom at the moment. Pegnet is drawing a lot of attention and increased usage of the protocol and DHS contract is looking ever more likely, the conclusion of which would make Series B in turn much more likely (in my view).

@PaulSnow Hi Paul. Is the new collaborator on your website, Machine Halo, in any way connected to the work you're doing for DHS? I haven't seen any announcements about this partnership so was just wondering about its nature? Thanks
PaulSnowLast Saturday at 5:27 PM
The IoT security we developed for DHS is easily integrated into Machine Halo's products.
KierewietLast Saturday at 6:07 PM
That sounds promising. Would these products be intended for use by DHS or are they targeting a different market altogether?
PaulSnowLast Saturday at 6:14 PM
We will be doing press releases soon.
You're 100% right, the potential of securing data on IoT devices goes way way beyond a $10 million contract
Nice one Rich. DHS proposal must be progressing well. That's a potential US government contract of up to $10 million and would be huge news in the sector.

"Machine Halo
Machine Halo designs, builds, integrates, and deploys custom optic solutions, with industry-leading computer vision applications, powered by artificial intelligence. Utilizing Factom Harmony Connect’s blockchain technology, Machine Halo is able to ensure their data is secure. Sensors and cameras will be issued blockchain based digital identities with Connect and based on such, the existence and the destruction of facial recognition data can be proven, sensors secured from spoofing, and data programmatically verified."
I think there is a good chance that they are partnering to deliver a ready to deploy product for the Department of Homeland Security
Sorry that should be Department of Homeland Security (DHS)...
