Or they could just put a date at the top of the article, which is something I've noticed those crypto news sites never do for some reason.
This article is about 4 years old. One of many partnerships announced by Factom and then never heard of again...
Sold my holding in FFWD after it became clear the EMMAC listing might not happen. Bought back in after the placing but only at 10% of original investment. EMMAC and Juvenescence still looking good and am curious to see what they will do with the £2m placing cash, but am worried about the following:
LEAP - lack of basic financials makes it very difficult to value this business, have they made a profit yet as was expected at end of Q3? The 'official' games in partnership with IMG Arena are a disappointment with seemingly no use of official sponsors or real life athletes. Furthermore the virtual sports sector seems to be very competitive and I worry profit margins are low due to high amortisation costs. I wonder why they've started focusing on developing slot games?
Yooma - not sure what the business model is, how they intend to generate revenue and how much? Also, no news on the planned reverse take over announced in the summer is not a good sign in my view with the Socati deal having already fallen through.
Portage - very high risk, they either hit the jackpot with one of their cancer drug treatments, or they don't...
Factom - pretty much dead by the looks of it. FCT price imploding too which kills their ecosystem. Maybe some value in the patents they hold but that's anyone's guess.
Not sure what to make of this but smells like BS...

Quote from June 2020 interview with Freddie Longe:
Freddie Longe, IMG Arena EVP, tells EGR Technology that his firm’s football-themed virtual product has seen “strong treble-figure percentage growth” during the last few months alone. IMG Arena develops virtual solutions via its partnership with Leap Gaming, and Longe emphasises the strategy to integrate licensed IPs from rightsholders to drastically improve the realistic and recognisable factors of the product.
He continues: “IMG Arena and Leap have a shared vision of incorporating sport rightsholder’s IP into their product suite to add further fuel to this exciting part of the sports betting and gaming ecosystem.”
IMG Arena recently secured deals with NASCAR and the ATP to produce licensed virtuals products for the stock car racing promotion and the tennis federation respectively. Longe points out that virtual products are key for sports betting and hints that further deals are in the pipeline to tap into the rise of virtuals
“Launch[ing] a virtual tennis betting product with ATP Media, with a specific focus on the ATP 1000 Series, was a very natural evolution to unlock a new revenue stream on their behalf,” Longe says. “Later this year we have a branded virtual golf product going live and we are working with another high-profile federation to release a new concept for them in the coming months.”
So potentially a new client for EMMAC in Germany then. First CC Pharma and now CanPharma.
The mystery cannabis supplier they're talking here about must be EMMAC right?

It's a really interesting article actually and confirms that LEAP are now one of the top providers in virtual sports betting and are ranked highly along with some really well known names in the industry such as Kiron and Inspired.
FFWD could do with a bit of hype. How often do our investee companies list on a major US exchange? This is what we are all here for after all!
So if I understand correctly, most of our current investment in Yooma plus a decent premium will be indirectly invested in Socati and with much greater liquidity options. That's not bad at all! And we keep exposure to Yooma.
Thanks ThumbsUp. Good to get the opinion from someone who knows the industry well.
I'm hopeful that LEAP's investment in developing their games portfolio over the past few years is now starting to bear fruit and achieving economy of scale. The number of new clients they've been signing up recently is quite impressive so let's hope they can turn in a decent profit next quarter.
Just out of interest, what would your guess be for a valuation of LEAP?
But the RNS didn't state we'll be getting more regular NAV updates than the current half yearly ones? We'll be getting updates on material events that could impact NAV (as we are now), which is not the same. Unless I missed something?

Guess this will be confirmed tomorrow if true. A new company may emerge from this.
Good call. Industry is set to be massive as well

FFWD has had a pretty rough ride but at least the investee companies are well placed to weather the storm.

Looks good but no sign of the sponsors (Rolex/BNP Paribas) in that footage like they have in the promo images? Hope it's included as would be a great extra source of revenue for the game.

Wonder what's happening with the Carnoustie golf game?
That's a pretty interesting RNS and Yooma looks very exciting indeed.
This bit also stood out:
"the portfolio is well positioned to deliver value over the short-to-medium term."
More news expected soon?
