The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
You repeatedly ask for someone to explain the current SP to your satisfaction.
Today’s price ( indeed the price for pretty much a month now is not falling, rather it moves within a very narrow price channel.
Do your own research and visit the GGP and NCM websites and investor presentation packs, read broker notes, review satellite data, check Twitter and Telegram chats etc
If then you decide not to wait on the inevitable news flow, make your decision and good luck.
I sense you intend to whine on and so I’ll opt out of your freed for now.
Is a fortnight tomorrow. The 6 weekly exploration updates interspersed with satellite images provide a wealth of interim data on a continual basis. Add to that the SD and Sandeep interviews/presentations . Unusual for AIM stock.
I sense there is an unrealistic goal for some to have near constant stimulation. The facts remain really positive. Share investments are long term, try to be patient and reminding oneself of the hard facts helps with that.
Tymers and napthman1 gone green.
End of the day guys and girls you can’t moan about a cat fight taking place for an eternity if you stand around and watch it.
And stop responding to the originator...or filter - any/all of these eliminates the aggravation
So much in his Bank of America half hour.
At around 6 minutes in he is mid discussing Havieron and says ;
“the mineralisation is open @ depth & there is a bunch of other target areas contiguous with this that we are investigating”
Dictionary definition of contiguous is; “Touching at the edge, at a point, or along a boundary”.
In his role and given his background the use of language is important, especially so given a number of words available to describe deposits/layouts etc.
His role requires precise language the choice of contiguous here is significant.
At around 25 minutes in he says “it’s a very interesting deposit and I look forward to giving more information as more drill results come through”.
He knows what has been seen from core scanning at the core sheds on the drilling since the last exploration update.
Highlighting pace of development, multiple mining methods to extract all the ore body plus drill results to come ..........
Wrap up “Sandeep what 3 reasons would you give investors to invest in Newcrest?”
Reply;
“Low cost, long life assets moving to very low cost with Red Chris and HAVIERON”
“Expertise, HAVIERON will require 2-3 types of mining skills to extract all the ore body and we have them all in house”.
Add to that the obvious delight on his face when discussing Havieron and fight to restrain from smiling too much/say to much - looking forward to the drill results.
Interesting Paddy.
Given NCM through core scans will have a pretty decent understanding of what is in the growth drills to date it will be interesting to see (a) if a JV is announced and especially if (b) NCM are the JV partner.
District scale?
Hav stretching out to the East?
Great read. Profiles importance of copper at sites and Havieron gets a mention for that, as well as NCM share of Havieron included in slide 1 under reserves at Telfer.
Hell for leather drilling planned as states 45km to be done by end of June.......so around 20km done - wonder how much will have been assayed by next exploration update early next month?
First post for a couple of days and straight in with a positive.
Welcome back.
Yep a drill rig
Feb 2021 Newcrest briefing book page 27 - Havieron PFS “late 2021”.
Sandeep in interview around Feb mentioned September for Hav PFS (was said in same sentence as Red Chris PFS due Sept 2021). Comments at that time highlighted people’s conjecture that he may have “leaked” progress on Hav or just plain mis quoted as he had so much detail to cover in a Q&A on so many sites.
I have been tracking this over time, noting the subtle change in comms/presentations re Hav PFS from “Q4 2021” to “late 2021” to the latest “H2 2021”.
All good and one to watch.
The RNS today is another jigsaw piece - it is going to be a mine.
Meanwhile on the NCM job site re their Jan 2022 graduate trainee intake;
“What are we looking for in our Graduates?
Our next Australian Graduate Program intake rotate between our Cadia, Telfer and Havieron sites and Perth and Melbourne offices.”
Perhaps helpful today to focus on the extremely positive news in the RNS (fact) rather than the fundraiser will we/won’t we guesstimates????
Far from it mate.
Had to concentrate and the ride went quicker.
Very helpful in getting my head around the detail and seeing the various diagrams better - especially when they are composite pictures of the deposit at different depths. Plus the point about the intercepts/breaks versus Red Chris and impact of grades is an important piece of the jigsaw.
I think the emerging story of the possible joining/broadening of brecias at depth and the increase in cemented brecias will be fascinating to track.
So many versions of slides now flying about it needs eyes on to spot what seems obvious (in hindsight) - the increase size of the ovoid on the GGP updates presentation which was not explicitly set out so clearly even in the most recent NCM report or briefing notes.
Thanks again both.
Thanks Bamps to you and Bottle - about to watch as I do an hour on the Erg bike!
* At least on the Telegram group
Another squabble that spiralled out of control and the root is ........grand reveal....... you just can’t win an argument in a written exchange where facts and data are overwhelmed by speculation, personal opinions/bias and finally bickering and handbags.
What in god’s name leads people to keep wading in claiming to be landing the big point to end all points?
The data is plentiful and more than enough to help serious investors to buy/hold/sell.
Now that data is added to here only rarely.
At least on T egg lee Ed gram group there has been a concerted effort to contain feuds, encourage posts to contain evidence/rationales and BottleRocket deserves much credit for that. The alternative is 99% of this embarrassing nonsense.
Mcilroy, filter is the answer. Not sure what he/she is posting as is one of my green boxes after I reviewed posts across several companies - usually negative and rarely evidenced.
From GGP website, firstly from Havieron JV section.........
“In November 2020, Great land and Newcrest signed the Havieron Loan Agreement securing funding for Greatland (approximately US$50m), which, together with Newcrest’s existing sole funding commitments under the Farm-in Agreement, is expected to fund Greatland’s share of Havieron Joint Venture costs (based on current forecasts) up to the completion of the Feasibility Study.”
and next from overall company strategy section..........
“The board seeks to increase shareholder value by the systematic evaluation of its existing resource assets, as well as the acquisition of suitable exploration and development projects and producing assets.”
If they raise funds as permitted following resolutions 4&5 recently it doesn’t appear that the need is for Havieron and if to expand activity on other tenements and/or M&A - good!
As ever a mature and considered post from from TMT which has resulted in a more productive exchange of thoughts absent any inflammatory remarks so grateful for that.
As ever the proven and tested physical asset (singular at present time) of GGP is Havieron. I , of course have a lengthy wish list for other tenements and even other acquisitions, JVs etc.
However at present we know what we know and that is Havieron MRE.
I strongly believe this is already well out of date given more recent drill results sets still to be reflected in MRE and the confirmed fact that the deposit is open in multiple dimensions.
That’s it for facts.
Welcome the theories and calculations but invested in the knowns and I believe that the current SP represents growth potential over years or until sale.
The other known asset is the track record of directors with Callum (finding Havieron ) and Shaun Day (board member in Northern Star during rapid market growth period) - both still in place.
In summary, discussion re GH helpful to reframe my mind to really seeing him as a still large PI acting now for himself/ his family rather than an Alex Ferguson like presence sat in the Old Trafford stand watching his old team with his GGP scarf.
