Billy, yes I use my own money so can hold as long as I like, but I was trying to ascertain if when they fictitiously take this down just for 4 seconds at such a massive drop that would never happen in an open market would they legally be able to close your position.
I call it blatant manipulation which in my opinion is robbery.

Can any one shed light on this situation

I just been running through various charts at close scrutiny and Yesterday the footse 100 on the IG site spiked down to the 5260 level for just 4 seconds at 10.13.50 seconds PM to 10.13.54 seconds PM

Now the question I’m going to ask is that at this period of time the market is closed so I’m assuming they are displaying futures prices, if I had a long position say at 5300 and moved my stop loss to say 5310 in order to protect my position from any loss would this spike down for 4 second have closed my position as there’s no way in reality that the footse would go from 5760 to 5260 for 4 seconds then return to its previous level.

I would appreciate your comments by the way I don’t ever use stop losses so it probably wouldn’t have affected me however I’m asking the question in case I ever did decide to use this facility.

George this is a game that takes time and patients and you have to have your own methods which are based on a multitude of computations to try and beat the odds even then it can go wrong.

You can go on loads of courses and they make it sound a price of Pish but in reality you have to study hard to get there.
I’m looking back over 30 to 40 years testing various things on charts to see if various things corelate to another to try and give me that slight edge on knowing what to do and I’m reading about TA all the time.
I treat it as a job.

SHIZZ ye that bit cheaper and keeps the covid away apparently according to studies so I think I’ll start eating copper to pish the fekers off if they get in me hahs

Is coming off the boil it topped out today after a 5 day rise just below its previous top out so I recon some good upside for us in next 6 days lads again as we know lower dollar produces better metal prices if I’m wrong I’ll eat me fekin hat.

At 13.30 Uk the consensus estimate is 4.2 mill if it exceeds this then pressure will be put in the US dollar all good for metals so we could see bit of upside with copper if they come in at 5 mill or over which is very probable as last 3 reports have come in at we above 5 mill let’s see 30 minutes to go time for a kberg.
