Billy we’ve been here before and I do chop and change my deals along the way if I see a bargain come up but this has really been fu—Ed over the last 4 to 5 months so options have been really tough and limited as to what path to take.
I have avoided retail as I see that starting to implode around a year ago with all the profit warnings.

I’m winding down for crimbo now so really what I’ve got out there at the moment can stay, unless something spectacular happens before FREAKY FRIDAY 👍

Pete I am around £35k down on my complete holding form august which I feel is quite good considering the fekin shite market.
I have moved a lot of my holdings into metals but still hold housing banks and insurance which aren't doing me any favours considering the brexit isues.

NK you are a patient man im afraid I just like the buzz, I been thinking of just selling all the stock ive got that's under water and plough it into metals then watch the excitement unfold.

The thing is in this game there's loads of people advising this and that but at the end of the day you can still get burnt however much research you do.

DAY yes im doing well on my metals FRES CEY CAML all up GLEN slightly down but I got LLOY IMB DLG CRST GFRD all under water over the 5 of them not too bad 6% down so that will come back and the divi on them 5 yields 7.1% so not too bothered.

Must go got to pick the Mrs up from her Xmax swally ha ha

DAY it was probably my lot of EZJ you bought haha well done.

It was my own fault going in above what I could really afford to hold long term, like you say only a loss if you sell.
GLEN I hope will improve when CU and ZN start to move up however it may be a while but im in for the long term and may have a play with them once they clear the 300 mark.

PS. EZJ are looking reasonable value at present so if they get to 10.00 or below I might start on a few, but realy want to see what happens with Brexit first.

I know your suffering with a reasonably hefty loss on GLEN at present and I have been there fekin £80k in 3 days on EZJ day after the referendum fekin gave me palpitations I tell ya, but I still live to tell the tale.

I think most of us that have been doing this for a fair while have all experienced a big hit and when you do It bloody shakes you up.

So you then learn to creep up on the bastrds slowly rather than banging a lot on in one go like I did with EZJ and it taught me a very good lesson but an expensive one at that.

Suppose I could have held it for 18 months to break even but I like to trade and I would have been bored shitless.

So just keep the laughs coming.

Pete I think that's a wise move just sit on it for a few months the shares you hold are good money earners and you baught them because you thought they were a bargain at the time.

Theirs as much chance of the stock you hold appreciating maybe even better than others in the FT100 so if you start messing around selling you could be out of the frying pan and into the fire so to speak.

I know its a bastd when you get stuck in a share and cant trade it cause that's the fun of the game but I tell you theres a fekin lot that hold at the moment are 100 times worse of than you and they may never get back to even.

By the way my pockets are a touch deeper than yours Pete but that makes no difference cause we all here to make a few quid and support one another whether we got £5k on the table or £5 million.

but this always does happen around every 7 to 10 years, the problem is orange man and the mayster they've realy put the fekin kybosh on things.

I did read an article the other day that said GLEN are estimated to make 6billion EBITDA next year from coal alone.

We are going through a really shity patch at the moment but im hoping things will change in 6 months.

I have already retired and do this for a living now so can suit myself if I want a day out I can still keep an eye on things from my phone but still got a lot to learn.

Like you say big oil housing and insurance some good solid divi earners that's why I have them in my portfolio.
For the likes of the miners they are my play stuff as you know can be quite volatile but fun.
