Not to mention the US army vehicles run on it as it gives off no heat signatures. Its not a matter of HFCVs or BEVs its a matter of both working together. current price is comparable to petrol and diesle at £10 a kg it takes 5kg to fill your car which travels around 260 to 300 miles. Trouble is people think of the hindenberg when discussing hydrogen they dont think of bullet proof carbon fibre tanks just tinfoil air balloons with a german pilot smoking his cigar and discarding it toward the hydrogen.. Hydrogen economy is here to stay with huge growth prospects IMHO.
