Up 6% to 19.8p
but MTR continues to sell them.
Taylot, I'd be quite happy with "factual" as long as the facts are put out there for the market to appreciate.
Good morning Taylot. I'm sure you're right about the immediate profit taking but for the medium/longer term the onus will be on the company to keep the market informed about future prospects and as Fiercey and I-and others no doubt-have been banging on about for ages, they have been absolutely carp at that in the past. MTR has a good story to tell but they need to get a whole lot better at telling it.
"and at much higher prices"- too bl**dy true!
Could sell 50000 at 16.5 at the moment but couldn't buy even 5000 on HL
Just tried some deals on H-L, and can buy and sell 10,000 shares at the same price-15.75p. I've never come across that before. Is it indicative of anything?
and this morning's deal @14.4ish are buys not sells.
March price now just over $4.00 and SFR closed just over A$6
Hello Fiercey, how are you? Not yet got enough of the Christmas spirit inside you by the look of things! I trust you'll be working on that in the next few days.
Joking apart I completely agree about the lack PR effort by MTR (MM?) I emailed Charles Hall a while back and asked whether the company could arrange some meetings for shareholders like we had a few years back. Charles did offer to get Michael to ring me to discuss my concerns but I didn't take him up on the offer because I don't doubt he could run rings round me with all the facts and figures at his disposal . It seems there is no willingness to speak to shareholders more widely/in groups and the only opportunity we shall get is to attend the AGM although that's months away. Unless the SP makes very significant progress in the next few months I shall certainly try to attend and I hope others will do the same.
Anyway, Happy Christmas to you and yours and here's hoping for a prosperous new year for us all.
Hello ezglide. A wise warning to would-be aim investors but I don't think MTR is a typical AIM stock now, and certainly not a typical explorer/would-be miner. MTR now has a sound base provided by its SFR and CBE holdings plus the royalty interests in both companies. The SP was at a very significant discount to the NAV at the end of November and so whilst all equity investments are risky and AIM stocks more so, I think it is important to present a balanced view. I'm not worried about MTR going belly up and am looking forward to 2023 with optimism
Yes, 2023 looks like it could be a good year, and not before time!
Quite right Agricore, but we didn't all start at the same time!
Looks like we've nailed our colours to the Botswana mast for the future as we did with MOD, but now it's SFR and CBE. That looks fine as I think the only way for those 2 to go is up and we'll go with them. Not sure how much of a contribution the other holdings will make in the future but I'm happy with where we appear to be going. Can they just get a bl**dy move on-I'm not getting any younger.
Destination for some of MTR's new loan funds?
