With a P/E of 34 there is little incentive to new investors if there is no prospect of a dividend. The boost to the share price by the recent great performance is not going to be repeated in the near future, and new investors would seem to have little to gain from buying the share. At best the price will be in the £3-4 range but with nothing else for investors, the risks associated with that P/E seem unduly high wth no prospect of a share in the profits. The Directors will be awarding themselves handsome bonuses, of course, as they do every year. And then hide the AGM in a far off land!

Me too, the execs have milked it whilst returning just one dividend over all those years.

No dividend but bonuses all round, no doubt. The execs really are a bunch of *****s.

Unless the company is willing to share the profits with its shareholders there is little point in holding those shares. The SP is fickle, dividends are money in the bank.

The SP was in the 80p range last year and the could have made the buy backs then, on an obvious low. The shambles of a board have waited and are now purchasing at the present SP, more than 50% greater than the price they could have bought at. They are destroying shareholder value but rewarding themselves handsomely. To avoid scrutiny, the Annual meetings are held out of range of the average shareholder.

Not long ago the sp was near 80p, yet there was no buyback. Today the RNS informs of a buyback at 152p. Why now, and what is the point of buying just 20000. Probably the excuse that will be fielded to avoid a dividend, again.

Bonuses all round then. But there will be yet another excuse to hold on the dividend.

Whilst the directors reward only themselves, rather than the investors, there are unlikely to be too many wanting to buy in. The success of this mine has been evident for some years and investors will buy on future expectations, so a price of between 80 and 100p is all we can realistically hope for unless something changes The purchase of 25k shares by the Co today shows the contempt for the investors. The number is insignificant and we had 80p recently which you didnt need much perception to see that as a temporary low and a good time to buy.

And holding the AGMs in far-off countries to avoid being held to account by the share holders. At least I got a free coffee and biscuit at the last meeting I went to in London, that alongside a one cent dividend is all there has been in 20 years. With the SP stuck where it is now, new investors are going to want to see the prospect of some actual returns before buying in. The same old promise of Jam tomorrow on the back of sterling performance in the mine has worn as thin as my old underpants.

After a single dividend payment in 20 years of share ownership, my dear Dad died recently. It seems we are more likely to meet our makers than ever receive a share of the profits. It would be nice if the BoD could apply the same generosity to the shareholders as they do to themselves.
