As have previously said on other boards, the share buyback game does not reward shareholders…look at LLOY..the only beneficiaries are the brokers. Results will be interesting…last count ABDN div cover ratio was over 4 . ii should start to contribute soon to profits.
If he intends to stay until autumn, Bozo needs another handler...Dominic Cummings or Marina Warner could keep some sort of control of him.
PS: What is it with waiting until autumn? Is he staying on to make sure he gets his full holiday allowance?
sufcessex....glad you have so much time on your hands..not quite, one holding sold...also hold physical...which will give you an idea of my losses on those and have separate holdings bought at low during pandemic...hence happy to sell up to average in on JRS...fyi
My point is money spent on buybacks would be better spent on dividends..it's called distributing profits to shareholders. No dividends during pandemic, fair enough , but poor dividend now is not justifiable
agreed...much recommendation by Ian Cowie of shipping ITs...this should also be on his radar.
big-blue...Russia should be run by NATO or UN administration ? are you for real?

big-blue and pandammonia happy?
Ukraine is no innocent so enough already.
right wing madness??? more like country without a clue what a moral compass is.
No-one has a rational solution to gun control...except arming school teachers...hmmm, can think of a few who might have taken out the odd pupil in my school
yes, theoretically "your shares will go up in value"....not much evidence of it at HAS/LLOY and multiple other buyback enthusiasts...as I have posted elsewhere, the only beneficiaries identifiable so far are the brokers and MMs reaping their commish
how can they put a price cap on oil that they have sanctions against using? Sanctions aren't working...it's to do with realpolitik.
So OPEC (ex Russia) will agree to an oil price cap as well?
OPEC haven't exactly been enthusiasts for increasing oil supply which would bring oil prices down...and they have been asked for this numerous times already.
