I wrote to Jessica last week. ‘ Please rest assured that we are highly focused on the delivery of the Seven Energy transaction and will provide an update to the market as soon as it is possible ‘. I’ve been invested since the first SAVP presentation and will continue to hold.
Pure speculation. If the Nigerian elections had resulted in a new incumbent in the Presidents Office I’d then have agreed to an end Q2 period for completion of all formalities etc. As this was not the case, I can’t fathom why there should be an unexpected eventuality which would put the signing back by more than the current two week delay.
Any thoughts ?
.. but, it has the largest economy in Africa. and.. Pres. Buhari’s policies are highly regarded in Nigeria and I understand effective. .. see you at 57 p !

Savannah has announced this morning that good progress is being made on the Seven Energy transaction and following completion of the Nigerian elections the company remains confident that Ministerial approval will be forthcoming shortly and the transaction will be completed in 2Q 2019.
The election has caused a minor delay with no fault to be allocated and the imminent completion along with an exciting programme in Niger bodes well for SAVP for the rest of the year.
AK did state I believe an update absolutely at the end of Q1 if not very slightly before. Optimistically as we’re still marginally in the ‘ slightly before ‘ zone, tomorrow at 07.00 hrs ? ..... everything crossed.
Nigerian voters reelected Muhammadu Buhari to serve a second and final term in office as president of Africa’s most populous nation and its biggest economy.
Buhari beat a former ally and ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar in a vote that was seen as a close contest in the run up to the February 23 vote.
At the end of the process, however, it turned out that Buhari’s support for a final term was big and wide. He beat Atiku by close to four million votes to emerge winner.
He becomes only the second man to achieve the feat of securing two straight terms. The first president was Olusegun Obasanjo who won two terms (1999 – 2007).
The other two presidents post-1999 were Umar Musa Yar’Adua who died in office and Goodluck Jonathan who won 2011 vote but failed to secure reelection in 2015.
