“ It's almost like some form of underwriting going on from the brokers here, holding the price for those that want to stag their shares taken up in the placing last night and take a quick 10% profit. Hopefully, once this overhang of sellers is gone, they'll let it loose.”
According to my broker, all his placees that wanted to sell were out at 2.25p. I’m not sure if there is a read across to other brokers, but his opinion was that the placing price was low enough so it was oversubscribed, the fast money was happy with 8-12% profit, but PIs were happy to pay 2.25p to average down, or to buy a trade, or to hold.
That’s the natural dynamic that held it at 2.25p for so long. Now we move on. Placees still holding will become more interested in selling as the price rises, plus there will be profit taking.
My view is that we will have news within two weeks and the sp will be back towards 3.5-4p.
Just imho.
