The tiny purchases are indeed strange. Been ongoing for days.

At around 30p, it's like buying buy options that don't expire. Half decent results will make the share price rebound.
Hrnet bought 29.9% at 180, and so if they make a takeover offer it will have to be at that price according to stock exchange rules. Not sure what date that rule expires. 12 months from when they last bought.
At this price, I am sorely tempted to buy in my pension fund and lock away.

I'm guessing many smaller agencies will hit the wall, unless they have a large amount of surplus cash?

Agreed, these are shorters trying to push the price down.
But the news is actually good as the CEO needed replacing and he has recognised that and not clung on.
Perhaps Tina McKenzie should step up.

Teclet appear to be making inroads to the software services side of the property industry.
A new CRM package is currently being developed for Hunters and is due to go live by the end of the year. If this can be cross sold to other agents, it could be quite lucrative.

I have just retired from the property industry. Recruitment and estate agency are very similar. Property is now moving after a 2/3 year hiatus. I think companies will now also start moving and wanting staff. I have purchased and aim to double up if it goes any lower.

Perhaps Tina McKenzie should be running the whole show!

Thomas cook had crippling debt, it was never going to work. Yes, there is debt but not anywhere the same extent. Yes, there is an issue with margins and that is the key point. Happy to take an opinion on that at this price.

Rise above 50 triggered a lot of sells it seems. I was regretting not buying more, but will keep an eye on this. I mean, a company with over a billion in turnover which is priced at only £30m is a bargain in the right hands.
