“ There are a growing number of investors here who are unhappy with Tony gilbys results this last couple of years imho.”

But for those who missed it last week like myself...
The US $4bn coal bed methane fueled power plant in Botswana is set to be operational by 2025.This is according to Mineral Resources Minister Lefoko Maxwell Moagi who said the methane plant is also expected to come onstream by 2022
The project is government’s initiative geared towards facilitating development of gas industry in Botswana. Coal bed methane is a clean energy source capable of earning the country carbon credits and positively improve the country’s energy mix.
Methane fueled power plant
Sekaname and Tlou Energy won the bid for the project by the Public Procurement Disposal Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) and the government has held preliminary discussions with Sasol Ltd. for the refinery project and expects to finalize power purchase deals this year for the pilot power plan
The project will see construction of CBM-fired power plants up to a maximum of 100MW with the staged development starting with up to 10MW of power generation to facilitate the success of the downstream project by requiring relatively minimal upfront capital expenditure, thus reducing risk.
Botswana has a significant energy shortage and generally relies on imported power and diesel generation to fulfill its power requirements. It hosts 212 billion tonnes of coal resources,
“The effort put in by our team over recent years has been phenomenal and this result makes it all worthwhile. The company will now progress with additional work on the ground to deliver a gas-to-power solution that can bring significant benefits to the country and to our shareholders,” said Tlou managing director, Tony Gilby

DTE, Maybe check this interview and hear from Tony himself around 1M 20+ Secs.

DTE both pods flowing 80-100mcfd will only produce a Half MW. Cant rem who said it in an interview but I'm thinking it was Colm a few months back.
IMO I'm thinking they're struggling to get a placing done or it would have been done last week.
One of the priority focus areas for SADC in 2020 is the formulation of a new 30-year vision that will lay the foundation and set a strategic direction for the region to implement its programmes and activities until 2050.
During the year, SADC will continue to strengthen energy development at regional level to address power shortages that have hindered economic growth and development since 2007, due to diminishing generation capacity and growth in demand.
SADC through the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), which coordinates the planning, generation, transmission and marketing of electricity in southern Africa on behalf of member state utilities plans to commission a total of 8,781 megawatts of new electricity to the regional power grid in 2020.
Another priority in the energy sector is the finalization of the review of the SADC Protocol on Energy, which is now outdated and does not capture some of the changing dynamics in the energy sector such as the push towards greater uptake of renewable energy sources and technologies as well as the impact of climate change.
Furthermore, SADC is expected to conclude a study on the modalities and operations of a regional policy framework to guide the exploration of gas and oil by April.
The SADC region has some of the largest deposits of natural gas in the world, hence the development of a regional gas master plan will go a long way in enabling the region tap its potential and address its energy challenges.
2050!!!!! 30 fecking years away. Way to go Tlou Boom Boom!!!
Jez man I'll be Brads age by then;)
You could be right BTS. Im thinking more in the lines of 3.3 - 3.5 pence. Tony definitely wont want to do another big discount placing as before. Anyway if they only need say 6-9 months cash to tie them over until PPA or sustained commercial flow rates then I'm sure those sophisticated investors will throw a half million in each at 3.5p all day long.
I suppose it depends on how quick Tony can get the money together. The sooner the better...
I've been thinking about this part in the RNS:
Since the initial rate announcement, gas flow rates have continued to fluctuate both up and down with periodic short-term rates observed which have been much higher than those initially announced.
It could mean that the flow rate spiked up high to say 80-90mcfd then dropped to 30-40mcfd then spiked to 100mcfd and dropped to 50-60 mark and so on.....’Short-term rates are much higher’. Just me trying to stay positive lol..
Now get a fecking interview done TG!
