RNS RULES - What You Cannot Do in an RNS
- Give vague or speculative timelines without basis (e.g., "sometime next year").
- Withhold a firm expected timeline if it’s inside information.
- Overstate certainty (e.g., "guaranteed in March").
Bottom Line
Timescales for monetisation are allowed (and often required) in RNS announcements, provided:
1. They are accurate and not misleading
2. Based on reasonable assumptions
3. Reviewed by your Nomad
4. Disclosed promptly if inside information
So the Nomad will have had to have reviewed the statement on the Luansobe expected monetisation event 'within 5 months'
A. Rule 10 - The Nomad must be consulted on all announcements that contain inside information, forward-looking statements, or material updates (including monetisation timelines).
B. Rule 31 - The Nomad is responsible for advising and guiding the company on its CONTINUING obligations. They must confirm that any RNS is compliant before release.
C. Rule 11 (UK MAR) - If the RNS discloses inside information (e.g., a specific monetisation timeline), it must be issued via an RNS — but only after Nomad sign-off.
If the NOMAD disagreed then GLR cannot publish — doing so risks suspension (Rule 2) or FCA action for breaching UK Market Abuse regulation (UK MAR).
