Again one of the worst myths of the internet age. Averaging down is a one way ticket to bankruptcy if you CONTINUALLY do it....... 9/10 they come good but the one time it doesnt you get wiped out. There is a case for setting out a maximum amount to invest in a single share and invest half now and half later

Once you've done it twice though (and more) only a matter of time before you will get wiped out. Ask Nick Leeson about doublng up if you're in any doubt

You're "derisked" when you have completely sold out of all holding in a stock. Some say I've got a free run with £15,000 (or whatever) of shares.
Absolute rubbish. That is a live valuation and if goes tixx up you've lost £15k that you could have had in your own account

lol I dont think too many will be dashing for cash should the Portland be proved commercial. Hugh percentage of investors still plenty under water.
350 barrel declaration should see us settle around 2.5p but that undepins the company moving forward so certainly good news
500 barrels a day and yes possibly settle around 3p

Yep I totally agree with your 04.16am post and have been saying for weeks why on earth would Bergen be selling when if they know by holding the SP would likely rise anyway. They are waiting and rightly so for the september flow test

It was an official Angus tweet telling us that all is going to plan and as such the 7 day test is on course to be completed by end of September inotherwards end of Q3 (thats the jist)

Would expect Angus to ride the coat tails of UKOG this week and whilst the Portland arena is not the kimmeridge sentiment will likely further rise here. Wouldnt be surprised to see Angus touch 10p next friday again. As we move into September we know the test is very imminent going by tweet of last week

I'd love to know who exactly these "shorters" are to be honest. Certainly not any PI's from this board thats for sure in the traditional sense...... Some of the spread bet and CFDs outlets will allow a short opening but it has absolutely zero effect on the SP at the exchanges at time of open or close.... Its one of the biggest myths of the internet that gets repeated over and over and has now somehow become a "fact"
