Seems to me that this is a bad fit merger. With all due respect to asda shoppers wall mart model is pile em high,Asda is in direct competition with the likes of aldi and llidl ? sainsbury's more of a slightly upmarket experience so what is sainsburys trying to do ? compete with aldi et all with the asda brand but keep the more upmarket market share at sainsbury ???? Seems like a marger between Hamaleys and toys are us or marks and spencer with primark ??? hey what do i know but seems daft and doomed to me. I will stick with Tesco thanx

Congratulations are most definitely need to be offered to this chat board. This has to be relatively unique in that there are more altruistic posters on here than anywhere else on lse !! The fact that so many individuals are willing to spend their time and energy posting here with NO OTHER AGENDA other than to help " save" us pi's from ourselves is laudable. I am seriously considering putting a couple up for an award for persistent services to others. They give up their time and energy without ever considering themselves,they have nothing to gain from denigrating this stock save that they here to save us, and for that rather than question their motive or pour scorn on imagined agendii we should consider ourselves lucky to have such a wealth of selfless individuals working on our behalf. there are still some folks out there who averaged down from the 2.4 peak and are more exposed to this one share than they are comfortable with is my guess. They will reduced their holding on small rises but with the amount of news to come i expect, as i have said before to be @ 1.2 within a month from now. Just my opinion and nothing more but re news to come its beginning to feel like shooting ducks at a fairground stall, as one passes buy another is already on its way :) gla
