Why would they not share and create a new Bushveld zone ??

Said this yesterday but mostly got lost in the insane levels of messages! The wording of the rns strongly hints to me that a Jv buy out is being hammered out ! Logically the size of the deal and current climate would mean if three or four big players jointly bought Eur and divided up the average it would do two things. Firstly from their point of view it would avoid bidding war and keep the price down! From out point of view perversely although cheaper for the buyers our price would be higher, 2 bil for a quarter easier to stump up than 8 !!!
The dividing up of acreage would be challenging to agree upon hence delays but I believe that’s done now!
I’m probably wrong but the wording of the rns to me heavily point in that direction and would be an awesome bit of business between 5 and 8 billion ! Gla read the rns from this view point you’ll see what I mean !!

really guys the more i think about it the more a buy out between the whales china NN russia and maybe stillwater sibanye carving up the acreage and all using NN refining capacity sounds like a distinct and sensible possibility! two bil each for a quarter of the company and therefore the acreage would be far more palatable in the current climate than one company stumping up 8 bil :)Deciding and agreeing who gets what would be a trial however, hence the delay!!! Its my new favourite speculative guess lol

This says to me ( in my opinion ) that several parties have come together and hammering out a structure they can all agree on, be it % split,joint jv buy out yada yada yada has taken time to construct. Past tense ! So if im right several is three or more combining to share ,either the acreage or the company as a whole and the horse trading of who gets what has been complex but is now settled. and yet we employed piper ?? thats the key for me. There were are interested parties and if there were no provisional offers why would you need a contract law specialist ( piper) and to move bod members to M&A specialist and future transition specialist positions ????? Er ya wouldn't would you ?

ok last post on this subject just to highlight my point. hypothetical scenario :-
win win win hedge fund plc own 10 mil shares @ 25p they have done due dil and want another ten mil but the sp has risen to 40p :( This is what they do, they find a shorter to take as many of their 10 as possible paying 6% knowing this will in effect be a sale ! They also open a sell cfd and place an order for ten mil @ 32p max. The combination of the shorter selling, the MM's walking it down to fill the order and the cfd means that when the order is filled win win win hedge fund has made £xk from the shorter, £x from the cfd AND has bought more shares well bellow the prevailing sp. They may even call in the short ( contract allowing ) or just wait for market forces to hopefully reward their activity. win win win indeed. gla Im not a conspiracy theorist lol I have learned over the years if their are no rules precluding something chances are its being done !! Sorry to bore ya :)

Being honest and i usually am, im not annoyed in the way you think, its more a case of small players pay the sp no other possibility. Institutional investors funds etc can place a large enough order and the MM's will walk the sp down to fill it !! Now that may be "the market" but whats to stop a large player playing both sides of that coin ? Ie open a significant but under the radar short, place a large order sub the sp knowing that the MM's will want to fill it price goes down short or cfd pays out AND share purchased at a discount!!! In what way should that ever be an acceptably possibility that is not legislated against ????

...it is my view (although it may not be the legal position), that the loaning out of shares to shorters or whoever should be covered by 8.3 rns's. The loanee is de facto giving permission to sell these shares or has if effect sold them already to the shorter and has a contract that they will be returned. That does not mean they still hold them they have transferred ownership and whatever form the remuneration takes it still constitutes a trade and should form part of a 8.s.
The taxman would not let you " loan out an asset" to avoid liabilities on that asset ergo its a "! sale "

Bottom line absolutely no point employing piper without a provisional offer or three :) It’s game on !

In discussions with multiple parties( bidding war ) The the bid employ ubs and piper !! Mmmmmm yeah let’s pay huge legal fees before we have a provisional offer !! That’s a good plan :). I am very very reassured by this !!!

agreed ciminna, also if its is allowed to be withheld A it wont be for long and B it would preclude anyone with access to the lets call it the " information room " Trading at all except for a little " admin trading " balancing trades etc. They would not be able to trade on " insider information" significantly at all. Which made me wonder when was the last significant 8.3 rns ????? just a thought!!

my lil bit of rainbow chasing/gambling/punting call it what you will. Im all in now so even my trading block is waiting patiently for the big one. Trouble is i like a few grand on the odd p&d or catching the odd dead cat bounce on an over sold share. So get a move on Dimitry before i die of boredom. That aside im a very patient investor lol

the more the negative mob, the lower entry, the cfd shorters etc exude frantic panic and worry, when is so obvious in their posts that you can smell it, those are the times im truly at peace with the process and the more relaxed i am ! :)
