RRE was a great trip and I was one of the lucky ones to be involved since £6 (before the re-rate). However, it took a while before they got their first deal (think around 18 months) and it's a completely different environment now. If I remember the announcement of when RRE announced they were getting bought out they said that they had struggled to get financing for acquisitions. I wonder if LBE might be having the same issue here and I wonder if AA will encounter the same issue with Kistos. I certainly will back kistos and I'm still certainly backing LBE but I would be surprised if we ever see another RRE appear again, at least for a while.
Good to see UOG finally starting to rebound, definitely a way to go before it gets back up there but looking positive if this oil price can be sustained. Does anyone have an idea if Jamaica exploration will be accelerated with a higher oil price? I am presuming they will be pushed as quickly as they can with the gross profits directed from elsewhere within the business.
Thx JT
I wanted and hoped for there to be a turn around here, just doesn't seem like there will be one but for the LTH's I hope there is. I didn't have too many shares in KIBO but can see my money being invested for the better elsewhere and so I'm going to pull out. Sad to see that the board has such little faith in LC and hope that him and the board can turn it around soon.
I'm a long time lurker in this board and have a small chunk of shares in my portfolio. Is the CEO really that bad? Has anyone actually written to board members or the company to portray the lack of confidence in him? Surely if he was truly that bad the board would have ousted him by now?
Trek, I was also expecting a bigger bump up than around 20% but having read the RNS further there is a little snippet saying they haven't tested the commercial viability of the well yet so that may be one reason.
