looks like the biggest change is in the value attributed to the diamonds which was $232 ct from all pipes. We have seen in real terms the average price received from KV1 and 2 being $323 which is a 40%increase.

After hours yesterday at mid price. How do you get in on this method of buying?

A few more for me today after listening to the call.

The reason for lower grade is the 20500 tones was from KV! average 4.5chht. The other 35000tones was from KV2 which had an average grade of around 3cpht from what I can recall, without looking it up.

So very pleasing to see the higher grades at the moment.

Think you will find the equipment improvements are pencilled for Q1 2019. From earlier RNS.

Overall a great update and shows how the mine is developing as we hit the undiluted kinberlite.

The Company's long-term aim is to optimise the resource available and increase the production to around 500,000 tonnes per annum giving Kareevlei a life of mine of approximately 10 years from KV1, KV2 and KV3."

Last year January update was 14th January so may be a couple of weeks yet.

decode - I feel your pain my friend. I have been fortunate enough to average down over the last 6 months with the view that this company has a fantastic reserve in the ground and when brought to the surface and market it should bear fruits for those invested.
I have said before that the initial company was being run by amateurs in the field of diamond mining with little experience in the running of a mine and so they stumbled from placing to placing with little chance of profitability on the horizon. All in hindsight of course.
My hope now is that the management deadwood has been culled and some form of experience has been drafted in MH. He hopefully has a vision for the operation and will be given the time and funds to bring it to fruition. We have a passionate man in Adam Waugh and hope he can bring the best management skills to the fore in taking us forward.

2019 will be a transformational year, especially H2, where we should be hitting higher grades and mining a much higher volume of 100% kimberlite.

I think that the slower start to the year mentioned was the product of opening up the mine. This may be the planned merging of KV1 and KV2 into one operation. Good to see this planned for the rainy season when production would have been lower anyway.

They have just started to mine at the lower levels so shows what we could expect as BRD goes lower into the pipes. We must remember that BRD are mining right at the top of the pipe which is diluted by waste or barren ore. 2019 could be the start of a new exciting journey.

Also interesting to read about the stabilisation of prices and a view that they will increase over 2019. FDI Diamonds are not comparable in quality to ours here.

Just give it time. We will be rewarded. New management seem to be more professional when it comes to understanding mining diamonds. 2019 should be an interesting year.

This former director is becoming a joke. He is beginning to embarrass himself with his unprofessionalism. I can see why he was shown the door from Bluerock.

Think the merging of the two pipes is to do with cost effective way of saving on producing ore from 2 separate pipes. Not sure how this works but they wouldn't do it if it did not make sense. He also said that little work had been done on the connection between the two pipes. As they mines further down it is possible that a bridge may be found between KV1 &2..

Sounded as though they had been working on KV2 to open up this pipe. Presume this entails some blasting of new material for production.

Got the feeling that the new chairman had found an under utilised mining set up. He seems to have identified the problems and set in motion a new plan to up production on all fronts. Interesting that the maintainance of equipment needed to be planed and ongoing with spares on hand rather than ordering when they needed replacing.

I do feel that this is in more professional hand now.
