I think you must be testing the new cannabis tie up with BATS if you're expecting £32 here.
Arthur raises the question I've raised previously - do I sell pre ex divi? The fall post ex divi can be very painful
Another good rise today up 37p at the time of writing.
Ex divi on 25 March - is this the normal rise before ex divi and bigger fall thereafter?
Even IMB putting up a fight.

Beat me to a reply. BATS Somehow are also one of the top 5 in FTSE for ESG.
Cannabis seems to be the rage now - never puffed it myself, but seems an obvious match for IMB and BATS.
Been an upward movement today so that makes a nice change.
Upward movement at last.
Do some people have knowledge of what the update will be tomorrow?
A 2% uptick was not anticipated by me.
Update due this week. Thoughts?
SP performance since 1/2 year results has been disappointing, and think market is still unsure about the acquisition.
I have not reinvested divi as unsure as to future trend.
Would welcome other views.

As you know I was in both IMB and BATS. With recent upturn in BATS I've taken a nice little profit, but would happily go in and out again pre ex divi if price movement goes my way. Don't think IMB will give me that opportunity but happy hold at current levels.
Have a good weekend
Sain,
I have read all your posts on this board, and welcome your opinions.
The points made by yourself seem fair and reasonable, and the following probing questions and criticism are relevant. The impending large scale voids are certainly an area of concern.
I have a property development and investment background, and am aware of several of the personalities involved.
I am grateful for your opinions, and as you say different opinions are to be welcomed.

Don't understand your point?
The idiot factor for me was investing in Mccolls
You may still be proved correct, but in my opinion in the short term it will not reach the levels you anticipate.
By the way I'm the idiot here - your eyes would water at my levels here, and will never get close to a return on my initial investment.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong

What did you really expect?
This dog has been around at 23-25 for a long time, and as a long term holder was never tempted to go in further even at this price.
The recent froth has attracted short term traders who are already out.

On a move north again today - might be temporary!!
Is this the pre ex divi upward movement?
As you say we have been on similar boards, and note your opting out of aviva. I've stayed with it for 4 years and holding for the moment. One of us will be correct.
Sain,
I have been looking at buying in here, and as part of my research came on here to review opinions.
Your obvious in depth knowledge is most informative, and accordingly I have held off any short investment here - thank you.
Are you aware of the potential for any of their vacant commercial holdings to be changed to residential ?

In both like you.
Nows our time on these two dogs - keep the faith and thou will be rewarded. If not the pubs are open soon!

Keep going I enjoy reading your self deprecating posts.
We all have our stinkers and just need to have a plan to get out with our trousers still on.
As discussed before I'm in IMB and BATS amongst others, and hope we will both be ok.
Interested in the idea of selling pre ex div as history proves this can be a positive trade.

How unreasonable are you??
The new boss only gets the following.
1) Basic salary £1.27m
2) Pension Allowance 14% of annual salary
3) Annual Bonus Plan - up to 200% of salary
4) Long Term Bonus Plan 315% of salary reduced from 350% after shareholder revolt
5) Plus other benefits and as many fags as he can puff
Would you get out of bed in the morning for this measly sum?
Let's see if he gets the share price moving north.

Having reviewed previous price action pre and post xd with Bats and Imb there is an argument that selling before xd and buying back after gives a better return.
Difficult to do when divis are the reason for buying in the first place!!
The sale was due to complete end January 2021.
I can't find any confirmation.
Anybody have an idea??
Interest sparked by recent messages.
Have looked at IMB and BATS historical prices, and whilst not scientific or 100% accurate it appears premium price is achieved somewhere between 3-10 days pre ex dividend.
It's something I intend to monitor for the future.
