That’s the problem when you don’t understand the concept of Nominal figures.
Sure, if you were unfortunate enough to have bought an ounce of gold at the high of £1178.92 in 2011 your ounce of gold would have only had the purchasing power of £1148.66 if sold for fiat at the low yesterday. A decrease of 2.7%
But if you held your £1178.92 in cash, assuming a 2.5% inflation rate (in reality more like at least 5%, standard bank interest rate approx. 0.5% almost irrelevant so ignored) then your £1178.92 would now have the purchasing power of approximately £987.00
Purchasing power of your 2011 £1178.92 fiat currency in 2019
Held in Cash/bank £987.00
Held in gold 1148.66
Therefore, even with the buying high and selling at a low yesterday, you would still have been approximately 16% better off holding gold rather than fiat over that period.
Of course I wouldn't care to elaborate... to quote you..
"One should never feel obligated to support one's submissions"
Not very good at this are you.
You'll figure it out yourself, you're a master of figures after all.
Night night
Oh dear... I think you might have just proven the old saying...
"It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt"
Apple, you're paranoid and over reacting : -D
The tally forum and this BB are completely different and run by totally separate companies for totally different reasons. I'm sure there are hundreds of companies that have their own forums but are also included in the business model of other companies, such as this one, which uses this BB to increase visitors which increases revenue through paid upgrades and advertising, that is not the intention of the tally forum.

I totally agree, this is a democratic posting forum. It's unfortunate you are unable to practice what you preach, not doing so shows you have very weak morals.
I'm always polite, although I understand the snowflake culture some people have been sucked into means they get offended easily these days, offence is taken not given, grow up and deal with it.
As for respect... Are you one of those that think you should be respected, that you deserve it? I have a lesson for you, you're not automatically shown respect in life, respect is earned and you have not earned a slither because you expect it from others but show it to none, and are a fantasist, unable to answer a simple question.
I don't hold it against you, I have met several people like you, I honestly pity you.
Anyway, enjoy your chateaubriand, Saint Emillion & baby boiled potatoes
I'm pleased to have had the opportunity to educate you somewhat and hope it sinks in.
All the best, goodnight
Blah blah blah
I'm always chilled.
Wake me up when you can support your own statements.
Great news having the new forum up and running, I'm not a user of them generally so will be a learning curve as with others but it seems fairly easy to pick up the basics. It'll be a godsend not having to read some of the garbage on here... and on that subject.. Pic you really need to get off your high horse and stop criticizing others. You are the person who says he is an accountant who has claimed his tally shares as a loss even though you haven't lost anything yet, and when questioned several times how you managed to do this you failed to respond.. This is one of many statements you've posted on here as fact and like many others is simply fiction and fantasy.
Have a splendid evening
Best

Looks like a few banks are having a few little problems.

Still.. not quite as bad a problem as some of the bigger banks.
Thanks pic
Excellent example of the cut & paste, uninformative, repetitive bore fest type of post I was referring to :-D
Yea, I think it would be good to have a private board where genuine shareholders and users of the product can share ideas and criticism and give feedback, it'll be good for the company and the users. With the added bonus of them being able to ban repetitive cut and paste rants on here and generally irrelevant posts, the shareholder group will also need out those that only dream of being a shareholder and act like they are.. but aren't!
I know what you're saying but unfortunately we have to ignore the tediously repetitive bores and tolerate and try to help the odd, clearly mentally ill people as with life in general, but it's definitely a step in the right direction to building trust and community.
Looking good...
We will soon be launching the Tally Community. This will be a place for Tally users to connect to discuss the product, let us know about features they would like to see and to give us feedback that we can build on.
As a valued Tally Ltd (formerly called Lionsgold Limited) shareholder, we want to give you a dedicated and exclusive place within this community to contribute on Corporate (non-product) related matters and give your feedback to Management. You will also have access to the co-Founders in regular Q&A sessions, the first one is with both Cameron Parry and Ralph Hazell on Thursday 14th November, 6-7pm.
I know it's nearly christmas but I didn't expect to see my first snowflake on this board...
Can admin please add a safe space page for those delicate little flowers that get so easily offended by reading words these days.
Flapping, Of course the delays are annoying I'm in the same boat but the direction and goals are going in the right direction.
I don't think anyone on this planet, hasn't had to deal with delays of some kind, unfortunately that's how humans and business work sometimes and definitely how startups work, others just have to wait and be patient. Moan, sure, we all do... Try to state opinions like facts, only some do that and make themselves look insecure and inexperienced, whatever misplaced high opinion they my have of themselves. All looking good here to me overall so I'm not worried about progress.
What tally should have done was just get this thing listed and get maximum exposure while the product was still in testing and not ready for mainstream just to keep a handful of nobodies happy...
Why have they taken the time to beta test it with a few that understand what's happening then soft launch to a slightly bigger audience to test things out while upgrading security, AML/KYC etc, then have meet ups to gain feedback on existing features and get an insight into user experience before launching a bigger update. All this before the main product launch followed by funding and relisting with a complete, working, secure, feature rich, innovative product.
Maybe... Just maybe, it's because they know what they are doing.. Unlike some people that are clueless when it comes to this sort of thing and are fixated on it being listed even if it isn't the right time because it isn't ready yet.
I just invited a few people and other than having to input all the emails, it worked very well. One person signed up already and I got a confirmation email telling me who it was and that my 200 tally was in my account, which it is and that person is now in the accepted section on the invite page. I also sent myself an invite to a different address just to see what they receive, all emails look very professional and it all works well.
The biggest ball ache is adding the emails but I downloaded my contacts to a spreadsheet then copied the column into notepad then emailed them to myself. Then I just copied them to the clipboard on android and added them one at a time, didn't take as long as it sounds if you know what to do.
I appreciate some on here think a new company has failed if it hasn't got a billion customers, 5 seconds after launching but you'll probably get a better idea of the company mindset by reading a post shared by CP.

As mentioned a while back, something Tally should have done...

ZZZZzzzzz
Ask Pic, he's an accountant apparently and has already managed to claim a loss as he's previously stated. It'll be enlightening to read how he managed to do it.
Amazing that you actually found that.. Shockingly worrying that Tally, so called marketing and promotion, haven't mentioned it anywhere that I've seen.
