Prem bypassed the mica/lepidolite flotation circuit coz they didnt have the reagent required to separate it by flotation. The first batch of spod from the plant had mica contaminant because of this.
I will give this link for you to expand your knowledge.

Laverda,
Mica is not a nightmare in the lithium world at all. The mica is lepidolite and its another source of lithium. Lepidolite is a marketable product to lepidolite chemical processors in China. Prem will be selling it eventually but it needs seperating from the spodumene first.
Before you post on here, make sure that you know what you're talking about. It makes u look amateur to say the least.
Raydaar, you conveniently ommited the first bit of that paragraph from wikipedia
Force majeure in any given situation is controlled by the law governing the contract, rather than general concepts of force majeure. Contracts often specify what constitutes force majeure via a clause in the agreement. So, the liability is decided per contract and not by statute nor principles of general law. The first step to assess whether–and how–force majeure applies to any particular contract is to ascertain the law of the country (state) which governs the contract.
The force majeuer terms in the contract were agreed by prem and canmax
Canmax have no hope of making a case if they went through litigation. They signed a contract that specifically says the terms of the FM notice. 2 law firms have looked at the case and both agree that canmax have no case.
Canmax only route is the arbitration process. At least this way, they will have their case heard but it will take 12 months to process.
Lepidolite, also called lithia mica, is the most common lithium mineral. This is one of the bi products that can be produced from the plant at Zulu. Lepidolite can only be processed in China.
Another bit of research for you Daz to add to your limited knowledge.
The mica gr was referring to was the Lepidolite which is another lithium mineral. Uv sorter has not been installed yet so its not able to separate the mica from the spod. Spod is detectable under UV light.
Really need to do your research Daz. I thought you were better than this
