Urm, anyone who thinks that a 1.9Bill oil discovery is potentially worth much much more than a 50% rise, if you're happy with your 50% then that's all that matters so all the best to you wherever you invest your gains from here, no need to hang around being negative though is there. All the best.

You don't want to be fretting over daily sp fluctuations, a few months patience here and you won't be remembering little tree shakes like today!

Good point HFB, the sp should be in the £2-£3 + area already on the back of this find but clearly thats not how the market works at times, MM's will have to let the sp go soon though, the buying pressure will be too much for them to hold the sp back any longer, then we should see a multiple pound sp.

Yep, true value is in the 100-200 + mill MC now, just taking a few days for the gravity of the find to reach the wider market, obviously the sooner the sp is in the pounds the better otherwise the majors will be trying to put in derisory take over bids!

Even if they bought a 30% stake shareholders would still have to vote through any takeover offer which after the recent discovery would have to be in the £10 + range as COPL hold all of the aces now so I’d a bigger company wants the assets they will have to pay a lot but then again the longer they leave it the more they will have to pay so seems likely that a take over offer will be forthcoming, make the opening offer £25 per share and I will then sit up and take notice

40/45/50p + would be the logical close but as we know “the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent” so who the hell knows!

So for a £50 sp/5BILL MC the company would have to discover significantly more oil and then a bidding war ensue?
