Really not sure how a prime Tyson vs a prime Lewis would have panned out, it would all have come down to if Lewis could take Tysons power, if he could then he would have beaten him I think as the statistics bare out that pretty much every fighter who got past round 5 against Tyson went on to beat him, no doubt he had extreme power but many fighters in his first 30 or so fights were beaten before they stepped into the ring with him because he did have such an aura, most probably the most effective aura ever?
Lets be honest, he didn't really live like a champion outside of the ring did he and for the first half of his career he could get everyone out of there quickly without having to dedicate himself outside of the ring but once he suffered that loss to Buster Douglas his aura/invincibility/perception was changed forever and he was never the same again but for those first 37 pro fights he really did seem unbeatable and to win the world heavyweight title at just aged 20 is an amazing achievement that still stands to this day as the youngest ever.
I would have liked to see a prime Tyson Vs a prime Lewis. When they fought Tyson was well past his best and only still fighting as he was 50 million dollars in debt even though he had made over 500 million over his career, but he made the mistake of signing contracts with Don King!
Like Trump, Don king never had his comeuppance (as Chris Rock points out:" A lot of people are like, “Well, Trump’s a bad person. He’ll get his.” You know, some people never get theirs. Some people just fail up. People are like, “What goes around, comes around.” No, it don’t. Sometimes, it’s just keeps goin’ around. Ain’t nothin’ gonna happen to Trump.")
I mean Don King was more of an animal than the Boxers he managed, in 1967 he killed a man with his bare hands and served only 3 years and 11 months but everything has worked out for him nicely since then!
