reminds me alittle of many middle managers (and more senior) in the City...black and white, little subtlety or nuance...all about defending a particular PoV/ego, not about what matters/counts...and certainly not about being open to a wide set of possibilities / perspectives (cos that's weakness)
...it is curious cos it is unlikely to work when managing yr own money (fine when it is others' money..the staple of the City...and/ or if transactional so don't care about outcome)
