Short attack increased massively yesterday but then Retail and institutions helped it move up and close only 4% down which was a good sign of positivity shown by people who believe in this.

Last year Cine paid a total of 30p in dividends but they cancelled all dividends for this year and may be a part of 2021. Now we know Cine has 1372 million outstanding shares so
Total savings by not paying dividends is 30p * 1372 million = 411.6 million pounds = 535 million dollars.
Now cine cash burn has been approximated at 35-40 million dollars so just by not paying dividends they have saved more than a year of cash burn.

Damo your calculation is flawed. Lets look at some scenarios
5 seats in a row, seats filled are 1,4 so 40% occupancy
10 seats in a row, seats filled are 1,4, 7, & 10 so 40% occupancy
15 seats in a row, seats filled are 1, 4,7,10,13 so 33.33% occupancy
20 seats in a row, seats filled are 1,4,7,10,13,16,19 so 35% occupancy
and this does not take into account group of people, family and friends which can sit together and increase the occupancy

Assuming an average of 150 seats per screen, %seats to be filled per show to generate a revenue of $4.36 billion = 40/150 = 26.67%. So if Cine can fill 27 % of its screens it can generate the equivalent revenue as generated in 2019.

2019 admissions 275 million
Revenue per admission = 4.36 billion/ 275 million = $15.88 = £12.22
Total number of screens 9500
No. of customers per screen in a year = 275000000/9500 = 28947
No. of customers per screen in a day -= 28947/365 = 80
No. of customers per screen per show (assuming avg of two shows per day) = 80/2 = 40

So if Cine can get 40 customers per show it can generate $4.36 billion in revenue. It is your choice to think and make the decision.

Bhargav, stay put and don't worry about paper losses. This is just sentiment driving the market, look at fundamentals, director dealings, stock market crash in 2008, all points to only one thing, hold your nerve and wait for the fear to go away.

I bought these shares not with the view of getting rich in 1-2 weeks but to keep them for about a year or 2. The current selling is just sentiment and once sentiment is positive it will go up. I am holding my nerve at the moment but if you are worried I would say you can sell and let go. I am not giving away my shares worth £2 next year for 35p now. Looking at the director dealings data I have seen that a lot of shares were bought at 28 and 24p by insiders. I believe they have better view of the company accounts then us speculating at the outside. I will only be worried if the insiders start selling until then I would sit tight and buy more if and when I can.

I bet this stock will touch close to 50p tomorrow. It is already in the oversold terrority and looking at the way AMC is performing I am very certain that a bounce is coming tomorrow.

Damo, I would not be worried what the SP is going to be by the end of the week. I am very optimistic that it will double my money in less than a year which is not possible in banks or buy to let.

M00la, if you read the RNS, you can see that they have reduced their share capital but increased their financial instruments and the net position A+B remains the same at 5.14%. So they still have the same exposure but in different way.
