If your considering buying the CPS shares (2.822) your last chance will be on 3/10. If I had £5k spare it would not be going there. Having reduced my avc to under 7 from 16.8 I'm only expecting to get my money back sometime in the next 2-5 years. Investors aspirations for this Co have continually been dashed since the IPO and we're in need of a miracle for it to be any different this time around. Might happen....might not, that's the best I can put on our situation. Is it a 50:50? Tough call as none of us know whether W has any intention of a) returning to the market, b) seeking a buyer, or c) just keeping the whole shebang in his PCT fund. Given (c) I've done my money. So I rate my chances of seeing 7 no more than 4/10. Common sense says if he gets an offer he can't refuse he will sell but there's "nowt so queer as folk" as some wag said. Fear the worst anything else will be a bonus is about as optimistic as I can get (even after reading rev's post of throwaway devices & offerings from Nigerian Princes). Guess I'm too punch drunk to think straight anymore!

Chunky 853k worth £94k goes through at 11.11 c .28% of outstanding so hardly material unless it's a determined seller off loading on political worries. Don't see a return to 14 anytime soon given the likely loss to be reported in late Nov. Time to move on methinks.

Wow! A United Nations of interested parties. Should be able to keep Zam from imploding in the near future! Noone wants another Zim that would kibosh any future investment in Southern Africa (upheavals in E.Africa don't help). Mind you when Mug goes things could look up if a stable Govt can be formed. Ahead of the 'all options' review being undertaken we have the cash return to shareholders that has been mooted by some at around 30p a share. This would cost c £56m and a retrograde step imo though the bod might be more interested in saving their jobs via a poison pill defence.....giving us the money as opposed to a bidder! The strategic review is a delaying tactic as this should have been undertaken long ago when the for sale sign was up for the Pools and im pretty sure they know where we are headed! The compound case appeal by HMRC has been dealt a blow as the Supreme Court has reserved judgement on the Littlewoods case but said it intended to allow HMRC's appeal or refer to the ECJ which was an unexpected turn of events as this could considerably delay proceedings. We await adjudication probably due in October. The saga continues.

Since the beginning of Aug'17... 12 concerns from County Councils to Overseas Air Lines have adopted Ideagen's software to assist their risk assessments and others are in the pipeline. The stock had a brief spike to (93) but trades back at August levels. Daily volumes and bargains are at Aim Co levels. Doubt ideagen has anywhere near reached saturation levels given all the increased regulatory 'facts of life' companies must comply with these days. They are in a growing market place and i see little downside to Co prospects though the mrkt might have other ideas! Buy and build strategy looks set to continue in the years ahead with further expansion overseas where c 50% of profits are derived. The little co with big ideas!

Gambling review next month set to trigger sharp falls in bookies share prices already down some 13%. Worries over the 'crack cocaine' one armed bandits pull stake being limited to £2 a go will have drastic effects on bookies turnover and profits. Sads alone are forecast to lose c £440m in t/o should the £2 limit be introduced. That may not happen most observers feel a cut from £100 to £20 as most likely scenario that the bookies could live with. This would lead to shop closures (no bad thing) and a profits tumble which might whet GVC's interest in returning for another tilt at Sads. With the Treasury keen to keep as much tax income as possible they may decide to raise tax on online gaming should the spin rate be lowered to £2 and a cut to anything under £20 a spin would be very damaging to profits. The cost savings from the merger would be wiped out making the Sads/Coral merger a wasted effort. Thank goodness Penrose sold off the loss making Bet Direct all those years ago. We have no regulatory worries here unlike the big 3 bookies our move to the States being a little masterstroke when we bought Scientific Games.

I'd have thought lse would prefer a site being used regularly than one with zero interest? Perhaps they could start forums for 'private cos?' at least this one would be 'used'. The stock had a 'look' at 10 and didn't like what it saw....think we're gonna be range bound for sometime to come. Essentially the shares have fallen on the bad news from the cropping division due to outside factors those of falling prices and fungal disease which has impacted on yields. Retailing and Cold store have both performed above expectations. The market may have over reacted as diseases of one sort or another are an inherent factor in all forms of farming. The geo political stuff I'm not qualified to pass comment on and even if worries on that score are priced in? Look certain to post a smallish loss but paring down debt is a plus. The fungal hopefully will be brought under control and next year will see a better all round performance if prices revert to the normal. F/Y results towards end of Nov....my friends cont to hold.

Oh dear....implantable throw away devices..? No idea it must be that little Japanese guy in a back St somewhere! Dare not think of Sphere tech being used in other areas when we barely sell in our main one. That's another 10 year wait no doubt. I guess licencing out the tech is one way but HO seem to have discounted that idea. At least there are options that I have not considered but as to viability is it more 'blue sky' thinking? Guess we don't know the half of it! I thought P had the potential to be a 'blockbuster' product. I was wrong. I don't want to be disappointed again.

I signed up yonks ago but don't think I ever got any news from HO. Oh well maybe this time? The dealing service won't interest me as I intend to hold for a min of 3 years which hopefully by then the value might be around 5 assuming there's not zillions of extra shares issued. Till then......

Ex-Pools owner Spo is for sale and the top two men have suddenly left- but all is going well, insists chairman Richard McGuire. The sports bet business said today that it is starting a "comprehensive review", with "all options under consideration.". Sportech which used to operate the very profitable football pools is now a technology gaming based business with a strong US arm. Possible buyers for the business if a sale is pursued could be either a rival tech player or a consumer betting brand in need of a new back-office kit, say analysts... (Precised from the London Evening. Standard 18/9)....nothing we don't already know...but there's no publicity like bad....

Penrose and wife reduce holdings in Spo by selling 300k @95.291. Ex (to be) CEO Penrose now holds 191k shares. Significantly reduced from last year.

About 33% of shares outstanding is not in the public hands that is disclosed positions of over 3% it may be slightly less after the Canaccord deal nevertheless that's a fairly small holding for iis in a fast growing tech firm for instance a firm I was invested in had iis holding over 70%. The board should definitely consider a move to the small cap sector having been on Aim for many years as at the current mrk cap, Ideagen would qualify for admission. I'm surprised given Ideagen's track record their advisors have not been pushing for a move. It would be seen as a positive by the market.

Your shares will be transferred into the private Co in due course. Check with your broker.

15x next year's earnings of c £10m+ is pretty small beer for such a fast growing Co that has solutions for many companies that have no or only paper risk assessments in use. Throw in a dividend as a bonus and a move from Aim (many iis won't touch Aim Cos) to broaden the shareholder base I see this as an excellent lth with nil premium in the sp should a predator be looking. With c 33% of next year's revenues dropping straight to the bottom line (p/t) and the speed which Ideagen is rolling out its software to a whole swathe of businesses bodes well for investors prepared to hold for the med to longterm.

Time for some bad news...all this good stuff is killing the sp. But seriously vols have been tiny so an easy tree shake for the mm's. Rapidly becoming the dominant force in risk assessment sector. I'll have to beg, borrow or steal if the sp tracks sub 80.

I guess one could find out with a lot of digging and time wasting....having suffered a potential disaster elsewhere I am now completely out of the market & have no interest in returning...ever!! Tbh ABLE I'm not that interested now. Suffice to say with nil cost options etc I guess they cleaned up....unlike you and me! I shall keep an interest here as mentioned in a prev post but that really is about it. There have been too many extremely odd and smelly happenings these last few years that shout insider dealings and various other skullduggery especially in the Aim market. I'm convinced I have been royally 'turned over' just recently....but I may be the only one to think that, so I'll leave it the in-out and day traders and pass away my remaining years with the ponies....a reasonably straight profession.
