$79.36. US mrkts up, Asia mixed & ftse called 10+ lower after a record close (+2%) ytd. Small fall yesterday of no consequence in the daily G stock price moves. Look at it this way if you can reasonably assess that G will make more money at least 2 years out than last year it should be on your buy list. Broker / research should be read and ingested but thats all. They invariably 'front run' (Talk their own book) and if paid by the Co are hardly likely to issue a "Sell" note or they'd find themselves out the door. Just had a butcher's at Gkp price to Nav a slight discount of c.(-17%) compared to G (-30%) & BP (+20%). Morning all..

Not sure what that says about posters here...I won't read anything into the lack of response. Your spot on Tartine you def take the compounding penny option.. I got to 8 x which brought me to over a pound..so no way could I go on mutiplying to get to a million so took option one thinking I might just squeak in on a bird in the hand......? I was way out! The doubling penny over 30 days comes to over £5m! As Einstein said 'compounding' is the eigth wonder of the world. You need a bit of that stuff to get to 576. Gluck!

I have seen some '19 forecasts of a very conservative nature. PTP of £10-11m and t/o £35m. Be disappointed if Idea cannot top those nos!

Can't argue with that closing at near days high (132) and a 10 gain on the wk certainly helped by the IC article on Idea. Most likely we will be getting revised upward nos for 18/19 which should keep the momentum going North. Happy to be holding here.

Well done H. A very good call. I expect your revising your exit strategy upwards as I post. Always good to move the goal posts when you can. Pofit taking seems to being easily absorbed in the daily to and fro of trades the momentum inexorably upwards, so don't stand in front of the on-rushing Orient express. Would have liked the sp to close at the days high....but we have been spoiled this week putting on 44 and boosting the mrkt cap to c.£815m the ytd (+171%) and the 52wk (+270%)..... N-I-C-E. Remember when we were valued at less than £162m (sp 58) back in March '17 & oil at $52? I do thinking myself a right clever clogs for baling out my last at 140 ish..Jeeez. Mind you if i'd told you just a year later the sp would be near 300 yudda thunk me nuts! Yikes... idda thunk meself nuts! How things change and of course is based solidly on the excellent nos G keeps providing. The mrkt doing its job of reflecting the Co's progress. Of course the burning question is can G keep up this phrenetic pace? I won't spoil H's 'Reasons to be cheerful' as i'm sure he will list enough good bullet points to satisfy the bulls, convince the waverers and leave the bears licking their wounds.
