For some time, certain parties have built up large holdings in HRG, suggesting a possible eventual attempt at acquisition. But here we appear to have an ongoing pattern of large purchases against regular large sales, puzzling. (a dig dong match of sorts?) It remains of course a consolation, that the SP has recovered some lost ground.

As the old saying goes, "United we stand divided we fall", nice to see them pulling together, not only is it good for their balance sheet, it enhances their image too. I did expect to see the SP move up a bit more given the number of buys, but it wasn't to be. The MM's at it again? Like you, I think it's reasonable to expect this stock to be at another level by late 09 - early 2010.

Nice hearing from you as always. It is incuraging to still see serius buyng despite the apparent downward presure on the stock.. Increasing positive noises of recovery internationally is building confidence in the business world, which can only help HRG. And I beleive the success of the banks is fundamental in all this.

Strange trading activity, two lots of fairly large sales and buys, with both sets of sales and buys taking place within seconds of each other? Is there a clash of interests here? This up and down process which is leaving the shares in a virtual standstill has been going on for some time. Or am I miss-reading this?

Thanks for your in depth reply. I’ve always appreciated your constructive contributions. I realised the recent share performance must be as frustrating for you as it is for me, but like you I have no intention of selling yet. As you’ve already mentioned, David Radcliffe must be finding this situation even more exasperating, but no doubt, he’ll do his best to reassure investors at the AGM. We know it’s a sound company, and we’ll just have to keep the faith and be patient. In the meantime, as you say, thank goodness for the banks etc. Happy trading, jj.

For over 2 weeks it's been strangely hovering between 23.50 and 24.50. I just can't make it out. What do you make of it? Hopefully you're around, as you sound like you know this company better then most of us. I suppose the forthcoming AGM should help clarify things, but that's on the 29th.

Still here! what are your thoughts about the strange trading activity or non activity? Maybe we have to wait the AGM on the 29th for things to move more positively.

By the way at about 16.26 yesterday I made another purchase of 10000 at 22.94p, but I've yet to see it itemised, I'm wondering if it's the 10000 ADVFN have as volume?
