...you are funny...! The trouble with bulletin boards is they're made up of people who only want to hear one thing! Confirmation that their selected trade is secure. Anyone who posts an honest view that goes counter to that is quickly considered renegade and subversive. When I started my business some 23 years ago my family and friends said 'Don't do it! Think of your family and the risks it entails.' Basically no one I knew backed me...that is except my customers! So you see where I come from in my comments. In fact any adversity confirms I'm probably right in my view! Good luck to you, westy - for some reason I had anticipated a degree of like-mindedness for some reason. By the way TAN 17p - down again! Me wither and die?! You'll be lucky!
Myo, I've not been one to go along too closely with your views. I see that contained within your last post were the words 'should the US deal produce further complications'. What 'complications' are they? They made an absurd offer totalling £70m in March....and then, quite frankly, nothing! Apart from the few choice words by the BoD 'optimise shareholder value' followed by a drop in SP from 45p to 17p, that fall clearly summarising everything. So no 'complication' there...simply a stalemate situation that's going nowhere! Rather risky for a company that has possibly less than 12 weeks cash remaining - how will suppliers, now knowing that to be the case, likely react? They'll certainly want ALL their debts cleared AND up front payment before supplying anything more... ...so do we actually have to wait 12 more weeks for cash to run out?
...'we might not see the light at the end of the tunnel but we can see the tunnel, that's all I will say.'... ...was that after (we?) 'Woke up this morning- read your post in bed - turned over again'? Now back to that tunnel of yours you two! Lol! "The namesh Bond, Jamesh Weshty Bond! Now, Mish Myo Moneypenny, turn over again!"
westy, your link led to a new product being described in the clip as a 'performance, sports type electric vehicle'....that is not the definition of a Gran Turismo! You will know, westy, that Gran Turismo literally means 'large tourer'. It was a term undermined by its abbreviation 'GT' becoming erroneously associated more with sports cars eg 'MG MGB GT', Maserati GT, Ferrari 250 GTO. In fact a true GT would be something more like the Bentley Continental GT or BMW Series 8 (large, fast cruisers). The latter 2 were what I had in mind in referring to a GT and the direction in which I felt EVs were unlikely to ever move. Nice try, westy, but your argument's flawed yet again!
The EV will be a commuter, a shopper, a bus, a taxi or a short run delivery vehicle - it will NEVER be a Gran Turismo (GT in old money...ahh yes, that good old Marcos 1600GT, pulled the girls at the time - they loved the throbbing mota).
west: 'they become familiar with them, like red phone boxes'... ...have you not noticed that they've all been removed....yet people (amazingly) still make phone calls, don't they?! And the idea that ANYONE who drives an EV will be dependant on a charging infrastructure with the arrival of the new Proton fuel cell that doubles EV range from 100km to 200km (yes I know I noticed that too!) is absurd! EVs will ONLY ever be used within their chargeable range - just like commercial EVs are. What about a London EV showroom?! I don't think there's one! Doh!
'Why can't you behave like that on here?'... ...I could! Liberty will definitely come back. I'm sure they will find themselves gathering funding as their China orders progress and they can prove the benefits of the association with Smith-uk. Every day the SEV-US offer fails to materialise their weight will increase as SEV-US languish with their chain of broken promises! Interesting time!
...if we tell you what's going on with TAN we'll have to shoot you... ...all you need to know is that west has made some money on a sahre... ...now you know too much: http://tinyurl.com/6mowfc
I'm now certain that one of these tough talking market traders is Alan Sugar. There's a hard edge to their cut and thrust, their ducking and diving, their...their...Bondishness... ...don't you think? And not only that! West ACTUALLY made money on a share!
oooh!... ...interesting that that syrupy sense of humour of yours rather quickly turns to a dark shade of brown brittle when the table's turned! Fascinating how the truth shines through on these boards. By the way it's ' I don't GIVE a damn' not 'I don't give a DAMN'...just a note to add to your comedic timing.
...you know that arrangement we spoke of? It's still open if you can sort a link: http://tinyurl.com/yc7nqqh Aww lovelay!
west, no intention to give impression of concern about your welfare. However with regard to my welfare(!) will I be at the nob end of the following chain of interpretations? - myo presents his interpretation to you of what information he claims to have. - myo tells you not to pass his interpretation to the board without some interpretation of your own. - you interpret the interpretation and present your interpretation to this discussion board. - we all interpret your interpretation of the original interpretation and present our own interpretations to this discussion board. - we all wrangle about the invalidity each other's interpretations. Meanwhile Tanfield hasn't actually said anything that we don't already know! All fingers point back to little myo!
