You have one almighty sense of humour . As this yr has progressed , an addition to my bucket list would be a BB meeting with everyone on here regardless of opinion on financial and political matters . It's been a credit to all contributors that despite differences of opinion civility has been maintained.
But , you do puzzle me . I am amazed how much in common I have with yourself.
I have also fired the 84mm in Otterburn , plus British weaponry in my youth . I assume you must have been made to dig trenches in Otterburn and then stand in them with water up to your shins . So I can't understand why you posted the following :-
"it's quality jobs that matters.Brit's aren't keen to wrestle with cabbages in a muddy field" . If we had to endure the hardship , why shouldn't the next generation .
As a postie for a week leading up to Xmas made the same observation , do one side of the street first and then backtrack .
Wids posted a link yesterday , on which the pie chart showed , that as a proportion of the population , Britain has as many Engineers as Germany , at 19%.
As a small microcosm of Society , my 3 have studied Chemistry , Engineering at Uni level and the youngest is studying Maths . Having spoken to my daughter today , I enquired what proportion of her class is female . 40% was the reply .
My deductions are that as a nation we will have the skills to maintain technological advantages and self sufficiency , once Brexit is enacted .
ATB bud !
