RE: Shutting down Farage20 Jul 2023 12:17
I don’t see how a bank is under any obligation to offer services to a customer, somewhat comparable to a restaurant choosing to refuse entry if you don’t meet their dress code. If you ignore the damage that Farage has done to the U.K. banking sector and that he doesn’t meet the criteria set out for the bank, then a cursory look online as his views shows a clear misalignment with the purpose that NatWest has set out. This approach is far more inspiring than other corporations who will happily take on any client for the revenue rather than staying true to their purpose. There are plenty of banks that will do that for him, for example HSBC that many of his Russian connections probably already use.
