The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I happened by this company by error. I was looking for something else but thought that I would have a look anyway. This is a good company, with orders on the books and more to come. It's established and has been for a number of years and the chairman knows his business. Could do with a few more MM's involved and close the spread a bit but all in all it does have promise. Every stock in my portfolio showing red today except TGR !

We should see a good rise today and the really good thing is that whatever we do achieve we should be able to hold it. Wressle is due on line in January and that is a huge development. It's been mentioned before that majors are waiting in the wings at what stage are they gonna step in? Exciting times indeed.
There seems to be a lot of unease where this project is concerned. Just for clarity this is a ‘project’ and nothing is for certain. Look at the fact: there is strong evidence of a hydrocarbon feature within the licence area. Now that doesn’t convert into a financial positive until it’s out of the ground and someone is paying for it. There are so many uncertainties around the production of hydrocarbons and so many things can go wrong between discovery and profitability.
B1 found further evidence of hydrocarbons although what those are remains to be seen and how it fits into the hydrocarbon system within the licence area also remains to be seen. I’m sure geologists are all over the data like a schoolboy with a dirty mag! The B1z drill goes ahead in search of the further reaches of the A1 discovery. If the side drill encounters the gas found in A1/2 then all good. In fact more than good. If it doesn’t then it’s back to the geologists to pour over the latest data and come up with another plan. Will this cost? Yes it will.
I’ve been on licence areas where one drill has produced 9,000bbls per day yet a further drill 500m away has been a duster while another that is 2km away has produced 13,000bbls per day. On site geologists had different opinions throughout the process. The point that I’m trying to make is that it doesn’t always go according to the plan but there is always the chance that you will come up trumps.
The story here has been particularly unpredictable due to leaked placings and a few who have been in a position to exploit the advance warnings. Such is the game and there will always be people in that position.
It really is a case of asking yourself just how much of a risk that you want to take? Cut out the noise from rampers and derampers their input is of little value. As for sound bites from CEO’s well I have been in regular contact with a number of them from differing companies and I have never heard any of them being less than enthusiastic about their companies. They are never going to say ‘it’s a crock of ****’!!!
Do your research, set your level of risk, invest only what you can afford to lose and when you stop believing in your investment then get out. Graciously.
GLA. The drill bit is turning.
I think it's click bait. He just wants people to read his blog and increase numbers. He isn't going to say anything that hasn't been muted before. Probably regarding C. Oil, BMD and Steffy but only a guess on my part.
.268 v .2709 is live price. With the bid on .265 v .28 on the ask the mid price is going to show at .272 ish so most trades will look like sells. Don't get too wrapped up in the colour of the trade look at the price compared to those that take place around the same time.
It's just shares being recycled at a higher price. Some sold to take their profit and others bought in because they see profit at this level. IMHO the .3's will be difficult to work through due to profit taking and top slicing but the potential here remains the same.
That's a good result Ponkey. I've done it plenty of times. Increase your holding at no cost at all it's a no brainer. I've been caught out a few times as well though. Hopefully now that a definitive time scale has been announced we will see some big investors buy into the company.
A fairly predictable result from this mornings news as punters take their profits elsewhere while we wait for the build up to the simultaneous operations taking place. They will be back but at what price? This news will attract new investors as others move on. It's just the circle of life.
That was a fantastic bit of news from last year and the following revised estimates were hijacked at the time. The news was leaked and it was played by a crew of absolute ****e gobblers. Unfortunately some of them still linger but the main protagonist has moved on. I hope. Anyway in the absence of the skullduggery of last year we should see this rise to a much healthier level and a decent profit for all.
