I used to enjoy the hard drive/pc hobby/ business a lot more than I'm enjoying buying shares at the moment - lol

I'm about £500 worse off so far than I was on Friday. How can you tell when another crash is starting, like in 2008, you can't because it doesn't happen overnight

It wouldn't surprise me if your hard drive is Western Digital, they always seem to be guaranteed to fail just outside of their warrant. I used to get 1000's of so called faulty HDD's years ago from a friend in the pc repair businss, repair the ones I could, then sell them on Ebay for about 30 times more than they cost

Shorting should be outlawed

Having to do a factory reset is a pain, if it wipes out everything you have done

In addition to my last comment about pc's Chancer, A friend of mine bought a new laptop just a few weeks ago and it is a hell of a lot slower and frustrating than the ones I have here.

Can't believe my luck with FARN, paid 116, and to sell now is 110. Immediately added another £150 loss to my PF.

Is it a desktop or laptop? Do you keep much stored on there apart from the operating system? Have you considered upgrading from an HDD to a SSD, super boost to performance without buying a new pc.
I have about 7 laptops ranging from 7 to 10 years old, all cpu's etc etc upgraded to the max, from a cold start they are ready to use in about 20 seconds, all are on windows 10. Upgrading to windows 10 is a doddle, you can buy a disc off Ebay for £2 and a windows licence number from either windows 7 or 8 will work

Wouldn't it make a nice change to buy a share that actually went up after you bought it, re-buying FARN at 116 is more typical, straight down after buying.

Have you seen ABCAM's recovery now, and they were 1190 when I thought we missed it. now 1335
