I just noticed SGE is at a 3 year low and been flatish for 2 weeks, I don't know whether that may be due for a small rise, it's down from £8 to £5.7

It's blue sky and sunshine here, but colder and very windy, shame we didn't all jump into BOO on the 14th. I think PRD will be a bit flat for a few days, but you never know.

I actually started by loosing money. I put around £4k on a NASDAQ stock that had been tipped by a friend of a friend. But after 3 months or so I'd lost half my money and was advised to sell. The broker I bought the shares thru offered to do something with the proceeds and a couple of months later I was £10k better off. After that was the start of the dotcom boom and away it went.

I stopped working over 20 years ago Razel, it was June 1998 and I was 37. I started making more in a week on the stock market than I was earning in a year by working.

Dan did you see my posts about OMU and QLT. Yes the weather, I think we have a few wind/rain storms to come over the next 4 days, starting tonight.

DLG are at a 3 year low and pay a 6.4% divi. SSE are at an 8 year low and pay about 8.5% divi.

How's the weather up your way Chancer? we are supposed to be getting high winds and heavy rain overnight

I may even buy some more OMU myself, I think a more average price for them is around the £2 mark or more. The drop for the ex-div today hardly noticed

Chancer, I can appreciate how you feel. It gets me down when looking at lots in the red, but I'm sort of getting used to it, lol.
I have gone from being in the blue overall all a couple of days ago to being about £8k down again, £3k is QLT & OMU and £5k for PRD
I remember the first big rise on PRD to 6, it then dropped back to 5.1 and stayed there flat for 5 days before any significant movement upwards. I think the drop this time was overdone and falling back to around 7.8 would have been enough. I remain confident this will rise over the coming weeks/ months and also behave more like a mains listed company with less volatile movements

As you know I'm already in OMU, but it may be worth you 2 looking into it before they split the company again because they apparently give away free shares to shareholders. The poster arsenal58 said he did very well when they split QLT off.
I'm probably going to keep OMU and QLT longer term but maybe the odd trade when possible. QLT released an RNS to confirm the closure of an FCA investigation, so that might start a steady rise.

You never know what's going on in the background, sp manipulation and did you notice the large trades from yesterday that appeared after hours today.

I would say, probably a bit flat Razel, but I don't think it will take much for this to start moving up again

Deepjoy, the first time we hit 6, it fell back to 5.1ish on the 5th Sept then stayed flat until 10th. Then it touched 8 on the 12th and fell back to 7.2 but didn't stop for the breather...... It wouldn't surprise me if this stays a bit flat for a few days
