You hit the nail on the head Chancer with UKOG, that has been my experience of AIM -- buy a share, it goes straight down, then further down, then wait weeks/ months just to get your money back if lucky, no profit involved - lol

My finger was on the buy button for FARN earlier, I had a buy quote for 1.00999, but resisted. I take it you saw the jump to 120 just on the bell?

Chancer, the main reason SFE had dropped so much was because they were in a legal battle with another company who was passing off and nicking their business. That apparently is all sorted, so the sp could continue to rise. It had fallen from 315 to 34 and now at 78.

Loc, in reply to your post about ITV and divi's. I think ITV is still on a downer. My experience of jumping in for divi's on other companies hasn't been that good, Persimmon is one, nice generous divi (10%) I jumped back out at around £26, thank god and ended up paying the divi myself, the share is still going down and the divi was back in June - lol
The ITV divi is quite small around 2.6p/1.6%

Razel, sorry for late reply. I wouldn't advise you either way, I'm currently whittling myself out of most of the AIM shares I have with the exception of 1, bearing in mind PRD is not on AIM.
I used to restrict myself to just the top 350 and was in very good profit earlier this year, but since meddling in AIM that has converted to a sizeable loss so no more AIM for me.

I'm still in PRD, but that is not on AIM

I think a lot of benefit payments end up in the hands of Camelot via scratch cards etc, I think some people spends hundreds a week and never win..

Chancer, people say in it to win it about the lottery, but I hate to think what the ratio of winners to losers is on that. Over the last 20 years or so that the lottery has run, millions of people have lost a lot of money against a tiny few that win some.
I buy a lootery ticket about once every 5 years and always lose

I know AIM probably for most has that "get rich quick" appeal but in reality ends up being more "get poor quick" So from my point of view it's time to do something about that.
I'll just have to pick my dumping times for the ones I have, but I'll hang onto KOOV for the time being. AIM and me just aren't really working out.
I know and agree there are a good few companies on AIM but the majority can be like one armed bandits with CEO's that are subprime.

I've had a good think today and decided to restrict my stock market gambling to just the top 350 from now on. It is frustrating to think I was £16k up earlier this year, but since dabbling in AIM I'm currently £26k down, that's a £42k swing in the wrong direction.

The drop on FARN was predictable, there was a big spike up around 2:00pm, probably mates getting out before the drop, happens a lot
